Oh more SNES. Nice mode 7 curved.
Actually, I was wondering (but didn't touch the platform yet to try). The Mode 7 vectors, are you allowed to only change them once per scanline, or could you bomb more frequently the registers as fast as possible, so that you distort the roto or even do other things (could you change the interpolation in a grid for grid based mapping? That would be interesting and new)?

Very cool effect :)
@Optimus. Never did any SNES stuff, but I recall seeing some video about what the SNES can do and IIRC changing the video register while in the visible screen area leaves artefacts on the screen, you can only change the registers in the Hblank or Vblank. SNES even has a special mode where it will automatically do some write to a register in Hblank I think... kinda like copper. But maybe I'm just misremembering things.

Mode7 reg are directly accessible... so no need to feed via DMA. But me using so called HDMA (“copperlist”)
Great "firsty", tune was nice!

Not bad, music was also nice. Would love to see it on real hardware.

Is it just me, or is the sorting of the vectorballs a bit buggy at points? :)

@Britelite

Re: sorting...

Might be but maybe it’s the 32 sprite per scanline limit. The PPU Clips sprites away with lower priority... and as I am sorting into sprite #1 etc based on z... the front sprites got clipped away... that should be the reason... and me thought I set up the rot angles to avoid such cases ;) so psst. Damned coding police.

“Maximum onscreen objects (sprites): 128 (32 per line, up to 34 8x8 tiles per line). Maximum number of sprite pixels on one scanline: 256. The renderer was designed such that it would drop the frontmost sprites instead of the rearmost sprites if a scanline exceeded the limit, allowing for creative clipping effects.“

The balls are too perplexing (missing perspective and sort)
