poing poing poing
Finally, a demo that redoes the boing ball effect but doesn't suck balls. Great! Should've used a cover of Rotterdam Termination Source's "Poing" as the soundtrack though :)
Also, major thumbs up for the audio trickery. Hoping to see more OCS demos doing more than playing mods in the future.
Excellent! Great music, nice effects and AMIIIIIGGGGAAAAHH!
Loved the amount of colors a lot! The plasma is very nice! Bounce little Amiga ball!!
Amiga <3
This great little demo proves, one more time, the Amiga's engineers were a whole era ahead of all the other temas from that time.
And STILL, I can NOT get it completelly, how we have all managed to finish (at least in current days) in this dull world of windows...

Bouncy <3
I never knew Paula could do AM and FM (?) modulation on chip... thumbs up for that.
'just rewatched it but since Youtube, damn the sound!!
Modulation!
nice, but i expected this as soundtrack: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dqD1OohY2to! :)
Cool prod, OCS rulez! :)
Nice

it can also store your pin number in its ram memory ;-)
Nice idea, nice execution. Cool code and tune. Bring on the next thirty years :)
great!
ALL HAIL THE BOING BALL! ^^
So niiiiiiiiiiiiice !!! I love the music and the design, great job ! Thank you !
awesome prod!
Cool initiative, and I like the modulation - although the 1MB limit would have to be lifted to use it properly without the sampled loops - well you already know this.
And expect the truecolor picture quality to be improved by Scoopex shortly. ;)

Poing!
Also, using Paula's modulation feature in a demo, might actually be a worlds first :)

I just heard an awkward silence, so I need to upgrade my UAE! But my UAE is already the latest version 3.1.0! WHAT SHOULD I DO??? HELP!!! lol ;)
Seriously, I don't remember the last time I *HAD* to upgrade WinUAE. There should a scene competition/category for that: breaking emulators with obscure hardware hack!

modulation!
Working! Thanks!
Happy 30 year Amigaaaah
Nice and appropriate for the 30 years of the Amiga :)
Screen content was pretty boring (if maybe technically impressive), using the Paula modulation stuff was pretty neat, though.
Okay. Thumb up for paula modulation.
Thanks for the clarification, As for the chipset features this is probably indeed the world first :)
Neat! And extra thumb for breaking the emulator. :)
Great to hear some modulation! So nice that you brought a release along. Did you manage to mention or show it to any of the guys?
Poing indeed :)
Neat!
Awesome!
Vesuri: All we ever demanded off you was keeping on to deliver "Ace Soundtracks" paired with "fitting Visuals", you kept on delivering, we all were happy!
But now you showed off your Skillz and i am happy for you! Technically a bomb, especially the modulation! (Almost sounds like a c64-softSynth just with way more BASS!)
Asskick a bit more like this and you could rule The Charts, too bad there aren´t any nowadays! ;)

Can you tell us a little more about how you authored and replayed the soundtrack with modulation? I mean, I don't see any obvious tracker doing that out of the box.
rock n roll
thumb up for the paula fuckery :)
Nice demo with some unusual effects...
30 years and still rockin'!
It was OK.
Nice :)
nice
Boringface. Sound modulation is good, though.
LOL. You guys don't know how much you approved the Amiga is a successor to the Atari 8 bits. That "modulation" of PAULA is 100% what POKEY does. And, well it's all there... just 2 generations ahead, as Atari left to put their advances computers onto the market.
And, well, I remember, back in the Days, seeing the Amiga Ball bouncing in one Desktop layer, while I was writing letters...
This "new boing" shows better where the limits were...

New records after 30 years?
nice
Love it. Enjoyed the tech info too
dA KooL!
For using the modulation hardware! And also for the other nice Amiga tricks inside!
Love the ball graphic and modulation effect is pretty trick too.

Hi Kwe, the AM/FM routines in startrekker etc are different, they don’t modulate channels per se, they synthesize basic sounds on one channel that you render.
I would love to get hold of the binary you used to turn on channel modulation. Do you think you could send me a copy to pauleebowen@gmail.com
Your work is great!
Paul.
Splendid
Magnificent.
Proper Amiga

Nice one.
You know that's funny because the first SoundTrackers (at least up to DOC's SoundTracker VI) had support for frequencies & volumes modulations.
If i remember well it was removed by Obarski in his SoundTracker v1.8 (which was then hacked into DOC's SoundTracker IX).
I, personally, never heard any song that used that feature back then (that's probably why it was removed).
