p.s.Uhm, a year ago I had in my mind to do exactly the same thing, a voxel with XOR pattern in 256b. Because I tried a test on my job then and I saw the same exact interesting pattern, looking a bit like little sierpinski pyramids when you make the square XOR into height, instead of expecting to see squary thing.
