it's a shame that it didn't get into the top 3...
a bit boring in places but nevertheless i liked it alot... Especially when colours decided to finally show up =)
Impressive rendering and absolutely beautiful camera moves and slow-motions !
Really excellent.
Really excellent.
my personal #2 in the demo compo
though it's a bit long and a bit too many gears involved here i really liked it. and the effect in the end with those color/trajectory overlays simply rocks

A bit actionless, but for some odd reason i kinda digged this one.
yeah! really great demo. :)
just nice and clean
Why is this no 64k? ;)
Seriously, that last effect when the colors came in totally rocked.

like others, i found it boring until the colors showed up ... and really liked the trajectories sowing up, when the two gears collided up ... good work !
Well oooook.
Thx nesnauk! After having seen that I cancelled my rendezvous in the dentist!
very impressive and innovative.
a bit dull at some parts but the ending compensate it:)

it was too slow on my machine to be enjoyable, but nice and original ideas, and cool filter in the greetings part. Ill save my thumb untill ive seen it on a better machine
It's sympathetic to see a new Lithuanian scene participating with something like this. I had met the two guys at the party and talked with them and voted their demo for the 3rd place (I don't remember which was the 2nd). Had some nice ideas (with the slow motion and the broken teeth ;) near the end. I will download and watch it again because I hardly remember any scenes..
very very nice and stylish 3D-show.. last effect and pictures making it perfect.. if the animation isn't scripted then the technical side of this baby is also more then impressive..
nice first production with a nice part with the colors. Whats a bit cliche is the machinery stuff - too much gearwheels at BP-PC-democompo...
Should have been in the first 3 - especially the partly coloured wheels look impressing.
good intro... oups... demo
Nesnausk's previous demo already showed promise, and this one is a lot better. Clearly a name to watch out for in the future..
that's techno as i like it !
Cool!
Damn, this is what I call a demo.
Cool Demo, extremely cool score!
Dont like the 2d gfx though
Dont like the 2d gfx though
very creative! though you'd better went to the dentist one of these days :)
the rendering style is nice, combining it with cartoon style rendering was refreshing. it's a good one.
well done, design is cool ... perfect sync with the music ... i like it!
CUTE!
great stuff. a bit dull at times, but what a looker. :)
Well. First time i miss this cute baby because of my geforce2. Dunno why this need shaders 2.0 but who cares... The result is really good and the whole this looks very great in grayscale. The color thinggie at the end with breaking cogs is rocks ! It's sixth place is shame on you guys who voted at bp04 ... :)
Quite nice.
Impressive work! I first thought it would be a boring flyby but very nice presentation tricks saved it big time! Fits into my favourites
And JUST when it was about to become boring, they have the purple cartoon rendering thing. I like the idea, especially the shattering pinwheels, but it could've benefitted from a bit of additional ideas..
dull
This is some kind of a joke, right? As I go up the windows demos for bp04, the prods get worse and worse. Please tell me it's a joke or i'm reading it wrong.
+good design +nice effects
-repetitive (but not bad) music -pixelated shadowmap when close -seems a bit too long / idea underdeveloped.
I hope the rankings are a prank, this and the mfx/kewlers prods were much nicer than the rest (saw 5 of the top 6 listed here)...

I think he was referring to the voting results of the compo.
Yep I was referring to the voting results. I can't imagine working for however long it took to construct this and then come in 6th behind at least 2 vastly inferior works. This, the MFX/Kewlers entry, and the Nuance prod beat the crap out of the Spontz and Calodox entry. I'm not saying this to put the other demos down, I'm sure if I was in on the joke I'd find them quite funny. I'm just saying I'd be pretty pissed if it happened to me. Was it a popularity contest type thing? Anyone who attended care to comment?
Anyhow, big kudo's on the demo, NeARAZ, I liked it alot. Reminds me of when the scene was more than an inside joke.

very original, and the greet-part with celshading and COLOR ruled :)
WOW!!
This one really is a _great_ production!
And it made me _really_ wondering why it got rated only 6th place in the compo!!???
That's _way_ too underrated for such a innovative and really nice designed demo!
Great ideas and surely a great style...
gfx could have been a bit more detailed in some parts/objects...but that's no real problem at all in the end!
Surely was amazes to see such a nice quality production from a (yet still not so known) group with a name like 'Nesnausk!'... ;-))
Go on, guys...you are on the right way for sure! :-)

NeARAZ:
I'm sorry, mate....I didn't want to sound 'offensive' to you and/or your group...!!
You're right in a certain way...in german your group name sounds a bit funny indeed...as it sounds unusual in the pronounciation in general! I'm also not sure if I would pronounce it right anyways when I would say it loud though! ;-)
But nonetheless...that wasn't the meaning in my other post when I wrote about it!
It was just that I've seen like a few prods from you guys from one other party I think...and didn't know you from before.
And when I now watched your BP entry I was definitely amazed from such a stylish demo.
So I was glad to see a kinda (at least for me!) 'new demogroup' raising in the scene which is also able to release nice prods as well!
Even if the name sounds 'unusual' (to me / to germans!?) ;-D
So no offense for sure! :-)
Just keep up your really nice work...and the scene will have some more quality-demogroup in future...
(always welcome....always needed....cool to see! :-))) )

Dont know if this has been brought up but this reminds me very much of the great game 'viewtiful joe'. The idea and the concept are nice anyway.
WOW!! great concept, good effects, good soundtrack, great engine,
MY BP2004 favourite...
you have potential guys, fr watch out

Outstanding!!!
my long comment got lost due to my mistake... ah, screw it, noone reads them anyway. :)
Runs a bit slow sometimes, but all in all fast enough and the visuals are impressive!
Music is also well done and fits.
And the design is interesting and original, too.
Still... something is missing, but I cannot quite say what. Perhaps the objects are a bit too simple or too many scenes too similar, but the camera movements were not a problem ;)
About the ranking thing: I think there were a lot of very good productions at breakpoint. #2, #3, #4, this product and #9 were all very good, and #1, #5, #7 and #12 were also interesting, each in their own way.
In any case, I am really looking forward to seeing more prods by Nesnausk.

respect.
quite good!
few effects, but good effects :D
keep up the good work!

Cool! nice to watch! Pretty slo mo effect!
Nice prod, not an absolute killer one but very interesting. The best effect is the cartoon-colored one, even though there were nice shadows, reflections and so ;)
thumb
Lots of great touches, such as the credits with slowed down tick-tock sounds, muffled music, etc., and of course the few unexpected touches of colour. This was a really great production with several surprises. Nice work!
dope demo
Definetly nice yes, though I think I had left my comment here already :)
could have been nominated for best direction anytime as well
interesting design and rythm based on the music
colors at the end are cool
but it is too short, when it started to be good : it quit :(

The various 3D objects looked too much like eachother. I mean, you could have done more of the clockwork mechanics idea. Should have reached a higher rank at BP'04 considering the ones higher up ...
impressive use of shaders and physics, nice music but the last 2D image sucked
Nice demo. I like the slow motions parts with texts. Weird usage when wheels collide each other. Cool music.
Great demo.
a very good one.
neat!
great demo, nice to see lots of hard work and passion
not my preference but some nice ideas and interesting 2d's =P
niceyy
my computer is too old (shame...)
maybe a directX 9 install would do the trick...
Their other work seems good though...

Utterly boring... The greetingspart is nice though.
superb
of course
congrats for the only demo that I know of that gets so many gears perfectly sync'd. and the shadows.....
nice idea, content felt a bit stretched out, but cool none the less :)
wow nice
still rocks, even 3 years later....

it never took off. love the filter though
Great show!
stretched, boring and pointless.
technically a thumb, but those matrix slowdowns for the credits were hilarious
too many weird slowdowns, but the demo is nice anyway
Yep
probably one of the worst demos i've ever seen.
The credits and greets were really funny!
nice prod, runs well on my intel HD 5500 notebook-graphics
Also kudos for not forcing obsolete 4:3 resolutions like most other prods of that era.
