Nice effect!
sweet
Organic.
massive crap... I'm sad for the intro getting the 2nd place
Honestly, this feels like a real injustice. This has to be the weakest intro in the compо.
meh.. got high for the group name most likely.. which is ridiculous. I saw IQ's tutorial shaders on ST like that, not impressive as 64kB, definitively not a winner to me. It would be the piggy, but authors get slapped for the voters who clearly were blind here.
Anti-Spengler thumb-up.
Also a normal thumb up. I really liked the colors and the relaxing atmosphere.

Haters gonna hate...
This was enjoyable to watch, but I was still surprised by the ranking. I preferred the first half, as in the second I got distracted by the choice of colour palettes seen a hundred times before.

Great sound, nice visuals, too bad you missed the 4K mark but looking forward to a sequel :)
I'm just happy that you used so much bytes for the music and didn't make Ronny suffer instead
The ~900 bytes over are well spent. Great to hear rp in a tiny intro. Hoping for moar!
Great tune + sounds - and decent visuals too.
Which synth did you (ab)use?

that last "glass" effect was unnecessary but i liked the organic look of the 70s wallpaper-colors part with the subtle sine wobble
Great colors.

If that were true, why aren’t all of farbrausch’s 64ks of the last ten years on rank #1? Apart from this the creators cannot be made responsible for the votes.meh.. got high for the group name most likely.. which is ridiculous.
super nice color schemes, stylish, and the music was awesome <3 me like it!
Fetzt!
I am quite okay with the colors/gfx/presentation, but especially the music triggers a long forgotten sweet spot... so thanks :)
Nice one
Fucking great !!!! Love it. It would potentially add one things or 2…

At the same time, it fascinates me how you quickly you go from an assumption (name voting) to declaring it as reality. Along the way disputing every visitors' ability to make up their own minds. And punish us for a responsibility we did not even have. Or accuse us of intentional manipulation.
Perhaps too harsh in my initial comment. Not meaning manipulation, I'd not go that far, more about kind-of-known sceners' habits in general.
Straightforwardness is not something that brings me friends, quickly. Apologies if that hurt you too much.
Not my cup of tea, definitively. Just expressed my surprise it won the audience's hearts as top.. definitively beyond my understanding looking at some other prods in the compo.
Congratulations for the winning of course.

* 4.9kB
* you didn't.
Hey, aren't you a coder yourself? Feelsbad.frag
4.9kB changes a lot.. as most I didn't care yet to launch anything on my computer so just relied on the stream. My fault.
Yours is 5kB, bike is 8kB... why the heck orgs didn't merge 4k up to 16kB together... that would be much more... interesting than putting you all into 64kB bucket loud and clear...
music vote
Yes! More please :)
For 828 bytes.
Cool trippy fake liquids and very nice sound. I don't understand why you are all so upset.
very defiant music and visual style, I appreciate it. very good. is it just me but I feel so much potential from the NR4 & darya collab. Looking forward to see more prods from you!
It's good although i think it'd work nice with a more chilled out or melodic track. I think the visuals are kinda asking for it. Also the pallete with the green reminded me too much of that 0.5 + 0.5*sin(vec3(3,2,1) + k) pallete, the shadertoy staple.
Complete disconnect between the soundtrack and the visuals for me.

Because it'd be rather unfair to a full(>=3 entries) 4k compo to have to compete with bigger sizes? Also that'd leave the two 64ks to compete in the PC Demo compo, which would suck for them.
To the actual release:
nice colors and patterns but I wish it had more progression than pattern and color permutation, also the cool technical foundation doesn't show through, in my mind it'd have had a lot more potential. Overall does work quite well for me though, and the "reflective" look in the later section helps keeping it interesting. The soundtrack is a much needed breeze of fresh air in the 4k game, not quite sure the kicks punch hard enough to fulfill the lofty claims made by their author ;P
Oh and ofc: should be 4k :P
lovely prod! i'm especially fond of the clean and crisp sound design. sorted myself with a copy of sointu now as well <3
A fractal-attractor-thingie, given the name? I think it's OK. Music is the best part, the code is a bit too single-effect and repetitive even for an intro for me. The sync is also good.
Instantly forgettable. Sorry to see the, once mighty, Farbrausch brand so watered down with pish over the years...
.
the music sells it, nothing more needed, but the visuals esp. towards the end are pretty as well, although i would've chosen some of the palettes more carefully
complaining about "namevoting" is the most obnoxious sore loser behavior

In some ways, it evokes certain artistic films from the 60s. A soothing journey from start to finish.
Does one thing and does it reasonably well, and the visuals know how not to get in the way of the brilliant (for 4k) soundtrack.
Nice!
With a different colour scheme and some text, this would turn into a big BIG plus release, rather a minus one.

that's what i call techno. also nice patterns and colour choices
Really enjoyable and the soundtrack is especially great. The visuals kinda lost steam in the second half, though. I enjoyed the more minimalist approach earlier on.
i like this style and very kool music!
For an Atari demo, this is kinda nice
Im glad you had fun, and the outcome of the fun is a nice release. Overall it was enjoyable to watch, not thrilling.
Nice stuff my freinds! And i am sure the next prod fits into 4kb.
good 5K.
soundtrack is great.
visuals are very sexy, but it feels too much like an effect slideshow, despite some effort to try not to.

OK.
Pretty cool. A kind of 70s wax liquid psychedelic simulator?
No thumb because we had enough bad blood around name/group voting already but I really enjoyed watching y'all's process and the amount of collaboration in the weeks before Deadline. Hooray for mathy visuals, and that soundtrack is an absolute banger for the size and probably one of the best produced 4(.9)k tracks to date.
what an excellent intro! the colours are perfect, and great dubtechno track by ronny! a very fulfilling release. can't understand the hate, i think this is a well-deserved placing.
Cool track!
I would like to join the ranks of people who wish for more Ronny soundtracks in small intros :) And the visuals get a thumb for the math nerdery alone (never mind being pretty too)!
liked it. Not one of my favorites and not confident if this is the #1 but it´s well done and belongs to the first 3 places
nice sound. for sure a "Daumen hoch" Entry

Like Rob I also cannot feel the connection between visuals and music. Also too simple for me. I like the colours though.
Pretty good. Love the track. @NR4 don't say you left your Team210 behind to join the evil empire of FR? :-O
Jokes aside, who/how/what decides when a FR prod is minus?

I like the effect even though i find it repetitive, not a big fan of the soundtrack...ok prod
Nice
Definitely way above average for a FB minus project. Good job!
Excellent! Love the soundtrack, and it sat nicely with the visuals for me.
All that beef and polarization around a release is so weird.
The core of demoscene was always about two things: Either pushing a limited hardware to impossible visuals, or expressionism.
Farbrausch did both incredibly multiple times. It's like Deichkind, giving a crap and doing what artists do: Experiment and express.
Yes, sometimes the result sucks for you.

interesting, good-looking effect, nice colors, but i could imagine doing more with it
(either make it fit into 4k, or if it doesn't fit anyway then you can create more interesting stuff than just different parameters of the a one-trick effect)

What I love about this is that it feels so organic and warm, both visually, as well as aurally.
space lava-lamps (Barbarella anyone?) meet Ken Ishii.
Madness, to pack this in 5k. Could watch for hours.

boring
Farbrausch war ja mal was, aber alles in letzter Zeit hat damit absolut nichts mehr zu tun.
Absolutely not a fan of this parasitization on a once famous name, especially when people make ugly crap like this.
Fun fact: If you check the last three posters‘ profiles for contributions, the result is _exactly_ what you‘d expect.

Like, by one of the founding members of Farbrausch? Why the hate?

Because this is worthless trash that has no artistic significance, contrary to the mind-blowing works of the early years of this group. You might as well program a random noise generator and will have the same value(absence of it).
you clearly have no clue. also nobody owes you anything, especially not if you are auch a dick.
Pleasant screensaver graphics, and a really good techno banger for 4k. Certainly one of the best minus releases. ;)
And lol @ all the people pretending this wants to be the next Debris or whatever, it's clearled marked as a minus release and Farbrausch already did those 20 years ago. But I guess having fun is forbidden once you have shown that you can do "mindblowing" stuff.

thumb for the controversy… afterall, this will never be a true minus like https://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=9492
I understand that this intro may not be for everyone but wtf.
Anyway, I loved this when watching the compo stream!

I really like this piece on its own merits. There's something about the way the graphics, noise, almost heat-like distortion and colour grading has been done that makes it look almost *not* computer generated. It has a sort of semi-realism to it, which is very very tricky to achieve.
I feel the timing could maybe have been tightened *just a little* as it takes a while for the visual evolution to occur, but once it does, the final form is gorgeous. I enjoyed how it goes from its paper-like start to its kaleidoscopic fresnel-like glassy end.

@dex46
Maybe it’s time for you to make a demo with artistic significance yourself.

Ah yes, mind-blowing classic works like ah, farbomat, and ghettorocker. I assume you were referring to those.
Get a grip. Thumb up for somewhat unique visuals and music for 4, er, 5kb, and the ensuing drama here.
Overstays its welcome, but really nicely done nonetheless. Nice to see that rp apparently doesn't need more than a few kilobytes to create bangers!
@rp All that is fine, you can make whatever you want we just don't see why it got 1st place above 3 other demos that are clearly more interesting. I say this as someone who makes whatever they want and consistently gets last place.
Haters gonna hate.
Voters gonna vote.
The thing is:
If you hate this release so much, then please feel triggered to compete.
Use your "i hate this!" Energy to create and demonstrate.
in other words:
go make a demo about it.

maybe also worth noting that it's 6 (!) points difference between this release and the 2nd place release.
That's one and a half people voting. Yes it was that close. Now get over it.

ich find's total geil!
This is really sweet. Great aesthetics, timing and trippyness.
is ok, mildly pretty at times
