- demo Atari XL/XE Too Hard 4 by Animkomials [web]
- @Optimus : Comm'on it wasn't supossed to be impressive. It's a joke, Don't take it to serious. Demos from Animkomials are always fake-stuff, but I think the "Too Hard"-Serie is getting better with every prod. I didn't like it, when I have seen their first prods for some years ago, but it's some kind of very polish humor :-) .... okay the music suxx, but hey it's the year 2k3 and these guys still creative on our beloved xl/xe :-) ...
so have fun while watching it, there are numerous jokes to other demos .. This IS COOL esepecially when running on the real hardware !!! (Emulator suxx) - rulezadded on the 2003-08-16 10:23:32

Yeah! This is absolutely a "MUST-SEE" class intro on every Atari XL/XE with 64KB!!! - rulezadded on the 2003-03-21 12:28:03
- demo Atari XL/XE Asskicker by Shadows
- Very cool and fast goroud, texture-fx and hires-fx. Shadows kick as, too bad that this one is old and Shadows aren't active anymore...

- demo Atari XL/XE X-demo by Mad Team [web]
- This demo is more a collection of small video clips in a very special graphics mode. It needs much memory (320k!!) and plays very fast and very smooth converted videos. It's not the design which mades it so interesting, it's more the way how the movie-snippets are playing to the fast music.
So make your own opinion and try it out ..

- demo Atari XL/XE Total Daze by Tight
- This one was technically a long time the best demo on XL/XE. It introduces a real Trackmo-Loader (animation & sound while disk i/o). The effects are really fast. Of course, they are well known but they are somewhat smooth (especially the 3d-moving city as shown in the picture)..
Really fine prod, because the design is soooo -tight- :-) ... - rulezadded on the 2003-03-20 11:40:07
- demo Atari XL/XE numen by Taquart
- Numen was part of a really interesting atari event year. The scene seems to be reborn when numen was shown at Lato Ludzików. Numen consequential uses modern techniques and almost every known xl/xe potential. Probably this nice piece of software is the only proof for the real power of atari xl/xe, wich was always known to be a computer which was not as good as the c64. I know this computer now for about 20 years. And almost every 8bit fan would say, that there were only a few titles on this platform which were really superb (mostly when xl/xe was the primary target to be developed).
Today, people know much more about the hardware and the real stength, which is provided by atari even in the year 1978 (as the xl/xe models were up to 90% the same hardware as the old 400/800 hardware). As a non-coder I hope, that this title will just be the start of upcoming demos in near future. Then the XL/XE platform will be on a position where it should be all the time before: somewhere between C64 and Amiga. - rulezadded on the 2003-03-20 11:10:03
- demo Atari XL/XE ergo bibamus by quasimodos [web]
- The effects are impressive, but it is by far not the best demo I have seen on the 8-bit atari. Only because it is an 2002 production, it does not excuse the bad music in the mainpart. Quasimodos are cool and are still developing nice stuff ... so check out Pacem in Terris for example...

- demo Windows Megademo 2000 by Purple [web] & blasphemy [web]
- this one is really boring. can't understand why it needs 7Mb at all. I could do it in less than 4Kb on my Atari XE :-)
