- Presented at ALT party, so I expected something alternative.
Still, it't quite boring, I think.... - isokadded on the 2008-08-07 10:22:28

- To be honest, I was quite disappointed by this one, having seen the massive positive feedback here on Pouet and looking at the screenshot.
Of course, I like the effect, but it's one effect. One. Come on, I've seen 4Ks with lots more content, so I expected more - and I'm not too keen on the music, either... sorry, it's just OK for me, I guess. - isokadded on the 2008-08-07 08:28:34

- Read some comments - couldn't be bothered to read them all.
Doesn't matter, anyway, as I, once again, am totally blown away by the sick mind of Navis.
Where the hell to do you come up with these ideas? All the motion going on here, it's just mindblowing. I bow in the dust before you, feeling damn proud that I've just witnessed another masterpiece of the demo scene.
Ok, ok - reality check. It's not without flaws - the history is a bit.... well, let's just call it "flawed" (I won't offend anyone that way, I guess)... and it IS just a couple of scenes. Not much variation, some would say. But I say: helluva lot o' variation within the single scenes them selves - I mean, it's not like Debris, which was more or less the same during the entire show, just with different camera angles - no, this one shows different things happening in different places in the same scene and, so far, I haven't gone tired from watching it.
Phew, huge comment, this one....
The colour scheme is amazingly beautiful - very carefully picked colours, I think.
The music is perhaps not the best aMusic ever did, but fits this kind of production kind of well, I think. A bit of Jarre in the beginning there - and also here and there in the main parts.
Overall, very good production and very cool to support a "small" party with such a HQ production, instead of "just" going for the big bucks at ASM.
Mad props! (yes, it's an 80s expression - so what? So are the words "demo scene"!) ;) - rulezadded on the 2008-07-29 10:02:28

- Not quite sure how to comment this.
I want to say that it beautifully executed, but on the other hand something tells me it's not.
Some parts of it feels empty - hard to explain, but it's like something is missing that would really make me jaw drop.
Hard to say what it is - it could be a complete makeover, but it could also be just a tiny "je ne sais quois".
The music is quite ok - I mean, apart from featuring the most annoying snare drum knwo to man - it's quite soothing and seems to fit the demo rather well.
Overall, I'm afraid that we're landing on a piggie - and I'm so uncertain that if I came back 2 months from now and saw the whole thing again, I might raise my vote.... if it wasn't for that damn snare drum..... - isokadded on the 2008-07-29 06:48:42

- Good documentary, for those not being there and for those, who just wanted to recap the sensation of being there. But wtf is up with the audio? No stereo? Only playing the left channel on my machine. Switching to mono helps, but next year stereo, please. ;)

- Funny little story, but that's about it. Didn't really like the presentation, the style and the music.

- demo Windows Inflorescence by mfx [web]
- Pretty neat!
Loved the opening effect, the way that the glow moves across the screen - very cool.
The soundtrack is, well, different. Some might say it's ingenious, but somehow it did not REALLY mesmerize me. Was close, though.
BIG piggie for this one - almost a sow. ;) - isokadded on the 2008-07-29 06:42:56
