- just let me know if you implement a raytracer on fixed shaders. Anyway, did anyone notice that this is a raytracer implemented in an environment which is not able to run algorithms (simply because it doesn't have proper conditional jumps)?

Optimus: strange, i have a 9600se, with 53.03 driver. Sorry for that.
I know that software did raytrace better years ago, and i am not at all content about what i coded. I thought that i can get out more of GPU, and after my failure (even 4x4 optimization made it slower) i just wanted to show that i have tried a new tracing method, in which i think i was the first. I hope that later, with pixelshader 3 with flow control and multiple render targets (i didn't succeed to use it on my card), this method can overcome software raytracers.
And sorry for the ugly resolution of the bitmap effects, those could have been in full resolution, not in 256x256. And for the ugly textures :) - isokadded on the 2004-10-04 14:05:15

- yes, this one is masterpiece. Whoever doesn't agree should try to make an unpacked windows executable smaller than 2k, or notice that a regular PE header is greater than 256 bytes.

- great! Should support on-the-right traffic, and a stunts-like map editor would do well. Physics could also be improved (well, i don't know exactly how). But, this took the place of midtown madness and gta for me.
