- 64k Windows We float here by Architect
- What Preacher said. I think the biggest problem of this intro is that it's supposed to be around fluids somehow (at least the title hints at it, and the scenes also seem to be building up to that), and the fluids… don't really look that good. You can see the popping and the low resolution and nothing really behaves like you would expect any fluid to behave. But yes, definitely good for a first prod. And good to see I wasn't the only one seeing the similarities (in a positive way) with “Clean Slate”.

- 64k Windows Equiratis rodentus by With Love
- This gave me very much the PS2 platform game vibes, graphically. The music, too; was surprised to see it was 64k, really. Better character animation and emotion than 99% of full-size demos out there.
There are some crazy glitches in scene changes, though. Suddenly the character's fur becomes like 1000 units long or something, or maybe 0, it's as if some character animation system hasn't understood that the camera is moving :-) It's super-jarring, and a shame, because apart from that, this is the best 64k of the year as far as I'm concerned. - rulezadded on the 2024-08-19 20:44:57
- demo Windows JavaScript PARADISE by mfx [web]
- Jellyfish sperm traveling through space. I was never much for the “untz untz mfx” style, but the visuals here are obviously gorgeous and the direction works well. And—it must be noted these days—it comes in at ~20 MB (assuming you have a browser), where about half of it is music.

- 4k Linux Windows Aurora Florae by Team210 [web] & epoqe [web]
- Obviously lots of good stuff here, but it becomes a bit monotonic for me. Also the YouTube offline render hides that this was pretty choppy on the compo PC :-)

- 4k Linux Windows FreeBSD Olkiluoto 3-2-1 by Faemiyah [web]
- Everybody loves a good streamkiller. The capture is nice, be sure to use a player with hardware acceleration :-)
If the video loads too slowly for you, be aware that my Pouët mirror includes pretty much every link on every prod, so you can find a (hopefully) faster download here - rulezadded on the 2024-08-06 23:45:11
- demo Windows Point of No Return by Jumalauta [web]
- Parts of it gets quite tiresome and the rendering is honestly pretty ugly, but gets mostly saved by good sync (unlike lots of other recent demos, the music and the visuals actually pull in the same direction!) and being a bit unusual.

- demo JavaScript THE MESSAGE by Gray Marchers [web]
- There's a raymarched cube. There is an envmapped car. There's a tunnel (well, two). The scene poetry has evolved into cliché slogans. And there are some objects spinning around in the center of the screen. Neither of this makes for a very interesting demo.

- demo Windows Impulsum Fabrica by Pyrotech
- Content-wise, it feels like a bland ASD lookalike without the polish that makes ASD work (e.g., the box starts crumbling way before the hammers actually strike it). Normally this would be piggie, but the size is just ridiculous; I cannot even unzip it, because it needs some special 64-bit extension to break the 4GB barrier. An average of 390 megabits per second!

- demo Windows Superselection by Byterapers [web] & Doomsday & Future Crew
- The rendering is the best about this prod, and as usual, I can't give props for a renderer you didn't write :-) But the rest is also worthy of a thumb; I liked especially the music when watching this on the stream.

- demo Windows Scarecrow by PlayPsyCo [web]
- Hidden gem in the compo. Would probably deserve to be released somewhere else instead of drowning in the Revision sea :-)
