The story of today: Hopefully I'll be doing something more creative tomorrow (from coding to not being on my PC at all. Anything else than gaming!). Today, after 6-8 hours of Oblivion, I had another one of those terrible motion sickness phenomena. At least I am interested about it and gonna search more about those older pages I had found where gamers were discussiing their experiences (diferrent to each gamer). In those pages the said that you can get so dizzy that you throw up on buckets, but in a comical way and they made cartoons of quake players throwing up. But I never thought that's possible because of gameplaying and your balance system being confused with the virtual world system. I was so sick from motion sickness that I threw up chocolate mousse mit macaroni! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? I couldn't.. but it's an experience nevertheless..
That was it. Hopefully I'd like to know more about the motion sickness phenomena, so I didn't blamed myself rather than accepted the experience which also makes me wonna stop today and maybe only code and watch demos tomorrow.
And now I am on a netcafe and watched that nice screenshot from Caret and downloaded it to watch it again. And then I thought how diferrent and nice are demos still, relaxing, they never make me motion sicknessed, even the flashy ones (because the flashes are only few minutes). And then it will be better to code something too (I have two projects but time is too short so maybe I'll code just for me ;P), but others will predictably say to close the PC and get laid. That's an option too :)
Strangely enough I was walking quite dizzy in the city now. I had seen some plant that was really identical to the Ninroot (nimroot, I forgot) special plants you collect on the world of Oblivion and I had seen it and said hey Nimroot!!! It was one, alone, on the ground! I also have seen many gorgeous women on the road, high percentage today, strange timing. But that has nothing to do with Oblivion. And then I was still sick and wanted to buy some Ice Tea or Hamburger to Increase my Fatigue as in the game where you alchemist does potions.
MAN THOSE GAMES ARE DANGEROUS!!!

optimus: try enabling your v-sync to reduce motion sickness
Just so u know.
Just so u know.
There are many diferrent explanations for motion sickness. I didn't knew actually that vsync as another one. Well, the problem yesterday was that I was playing too many games. There are two ways to get motion sickness for me. 1) From specific game engines that make me sicknessed in 15 minutes. 2) Playing just about every wicked 3d game for several hours while I haven' t eaten anything and my organism is weak. (I even got sickness by playing mame 2d games for 8 hours!).
Yesterday the problem was that, the Oblivion engine doesn't normally produce any problems, even though it's a bit jerky slow at times and maybe the speed tires me a bit. But there are other engines, e.g. the Halflife 1 and 2 that for some reasons make me dizzy in 15-30 minutes. Some people said it's the screen refresh (so the vsync might be a reason here too), some said they get sicknessed in DirectX but not in OpenGL (!!!), others in the vehicles, but I think it's mostly a matter of how the player moves and the field of view. Some said about the field of view. Nobody said about what I see in Half life. When the player moves and strafes, the movement is diferrent from other games. It's like the player shears a bit to left or right, can't explain it right now. I think that's the main reason to make me sicknessed from the halflife engine. But maybe I'll try the vsync problem too..
Also my real problem is that the game goes tad jerky and maybe I need more memory (I have 256MB videoram and 512MB ram. Someone told me that if you have too much memory in your gfx card, you must have more in your system (e.g. I should have 1GB) else performance will be worse. It could be even better with 128MB in my case! Strange..)
