ukscene pubmeet time
category: general [glöplog]
ohhhhhhhhh yes.
the next installment of the infamous ukscene pubmeat series is on saturday, july 15th, starting at 4pm, in the two brewers pub, 40 monmouth street, london. nearest tube: leicester square.
you know the drill by now.. an afternoon and evening full of good old-fashioned british boozing. oh, and we might talk about the scene for a bit too! wicked.
if you need more information, check slengpung for previous event pictures, or go to ukdemoscene.org.
so if you're going to be in town, make sure you're there. and if you're not, change your plans and make sure you're in town. (unless you're some fuckwit hangaround lamer / hugi writer, in which case we'll pretend you dont exist and then point and laugh at you from the corner of the room. no seriously, actually we're nice people - you have nothing to fear.)
johnny foreigners are particularly welcome!
allegedly this is next door to the minor-celeb-infested restaurant "the ivy" - who knows what famous people you might see? (aside from us, of course.) so be sure to bring some poo to fling (not at us, though).

Smash hasn't even given a response to the second post, looks like he's quite good in what he's saying.hugi writer, in which case we'll pretend you dont exist
Smash seems to be a strong personality. I've read on the Internet that he has recently got married.

I AM THE UK DEMO SCENE! BOW DOWN BEFORE ME!
BASS! ORIGINS OF THE JARIG! DUNGEON PIG!
Ok, that's out of my system. No need to visit pouet for another month.
defbase shall become next King of England!
besides that.. defbase married a year or so before smash did, so he's an even stronger personality!!!
But maybe defbase is older than Smash.
Anyway, actually we shouldn't care about our ages but about what we are, or what do you think? I mean, when I was 12 I thought it was okay to be in the scene although I've never coded a demo as I was still young, but now I'm 22 and I still haven't ever coded a demo.

I don't think I am "in" the scene. I'm just spending some time in scene forums here and then.
unfortunately...
i'm up for the crack!!!!!!11111111111
Maali: Why? Don't you like my taste of humour? It's not that different from yours.
oh.. it was humour! in that case... yeah, i guess our humour doesnt differ that much ...
I'll probably never code a demo for a simple reason: I suck at visual imagination, and especially 3D.
However, I'll try coding a 96k game as soon as I have more time.

it's still on, and it's tomorrow, so take this as a friendly reminder. =)
