I have found few scener's blogs and linked them in my own blog (http://gubuterboy.blogspot.com). Maybe I'll do so with more I find. I'd like to check more blogs from sceners now..

Eliminating the social interaction aspect, where I can comment on things my friends say, and they can comment on what I say?
Naw, done the static webpage update bit, this is better. Not for everyone but for enough folks I've known throughout life that, well, we stay in touch a bit more because of the journals/blogs. And yes, some of those friends were doing the newsgroup posting in the usenet days, and before that, messageboards in the BBS days - now they're doing the journal thing, Because usenet became too filled with spam, and textbased BBS's for some reason don't appeal to everyone who used to use them.
Again, we've done the webpage thing; this is just more effective. And again, it's not for everyone. But it doesn't suck just because you don't like it, just like, oh, everything else (:
