:D
titan has a vote monopoly
I have to register to be able to vote? Bah... so I don't vote \o/ :D
The current voting process is a terrible hassle, guys :(
parapete toi dessus :D
I thought it was too much trouble to vote using the web-interface. It sucks actually, sorry.
To register yourself costs you maybe 30 seconds. Considering the many categories to vote costs a bit more, yes.
btw.:Flowers please, I became 40 today... grmbl..

Yup, registering isn't to bad, BUT... as far as i can see, there is no way of saving my choices until i am finished .. i wont have 2 hours of voting without interruptions ... make a "save so far" function, else you won't see my votes ..
if there is a such function, please tell me where and then tell me to stfu.. please

Ghandy: Let's calculate a bit.
You have to wait 3 seconds everytime you set a vote. You have 10 selections for every category, that's 30 seconds per each. You have, as far as I saw, 52 categories. Multiply: 30*52 = 1560 seconds = 26 minutes.
Read: almost half an hour. Just for overhead! Just for waiting for the script to finish whatever he's doing because NO it doesnt SAVE anything. (I did half of my votes and realized it wouldn't save it only later.)
So basically if you DONT think (=you already know for all 520 fields) about what you want to vote, it still takes at least half an hours. And believe me, most people don't.
I totally love Worldcharts and wanted to vote but face it - the voting last time was better by eons. If this doesn't get changed, you lose your voters.

I have been told that this is only a temporary setup, and that the next issue will have a much more sane deal.
MUCH. MORE. SANE.
And the idea behind having this the way it is now is to produce the mag. That portion, you see, is done. Content? Not done.
So, please to spare a few moments of time and vote for the things you really care about. And ignore the others. I, myself, skipped over at least half.

we don't care about your damn charts, that's why we don't vote. no go die and STOP SPAMMING GOD DAMN IT!
imo the problem with these charts is that most people don't take the time to complete them (heck, I never did), and this way they're not very representative. A better way would be to pass pieces of paper round at breakpoint, and place a box for the papers at the entrance.
Of course it takes much more work, but it works better also.

charts are overrated anyway
don't be mean to ghandy! it's his birthday!
started to set votes, was interrupted, found no button for 'save temporary', later logged in again, votes were gone, lost interest, that's it.
Opinion: even a piece of paper would have had the possibility to 'save temporary' and 'place votes finally'. Is this really the 21st century?!?

Gemini:Here are so many senseless discussions. One spam more or less doesn't matter. And if you don't care okay, but some others do - so shut the fuck up. thanks!
Ghandy: Calm down!
OK, I voted now.
But they screwed some productions up...by putting f.e.
Noxie (a 4k) to the Amiga 40k list or Offbeat (a 40k IIRC) to the 64k list.
kelsey:
handing out paper sheets?...I guess this days are over once and forever, believe me ;)
Anyway, voting procedure could've been done more convenient.

i know those days are over, but hey, at least that works always.
or, a piece of sylicium, a sharp knife and soldering iron would work also.

Stingray: we have to keep the fuck you
ghandy: your votenagging is really sad because you can't accept the fact that people don't care about your damn charts. the scene isnt about being the coolest or competing as hell anymore, and i think it's time to wake up to that fact.
on the other hand, some guys like the charts and that doesnt mean you should stop doing it. but be grateful that someone cares at all instead of thinking it as our obligation as sceners to vote - because it sure as hell isnt.

gemini, no need to get agressive you fruit :)
i think that worldcharts should care more about how to make voting attractive than to nag .. it would probably work better. (just a little hint..)
