Besides the sick controversial content, this thing does not belong here anyway. I have never heard of this "crew" up until now and releasing a sick compilation of pictures on a disk does not necessarily qualify as a demoscene production.

I'm changing those screenshots, I have had enough with these pictures.

Thanks for proving my point that censorship sucks, Keops. I noticed you only changed the screenshots of the Kink-O-Rama productions and not the one of the Centerfold production. Simple porn is ok and bestiality and fist fucking is not?

As soon as people start drawing lines there will be discussion about where to draw that line. There should be only one line here at pouet, and that's between demoscene and non-scene productions, so if there really is no link with the scene for these productions they should just be removed. If they stay then there should be a way for people to decide for themselves whether they want to see the shots or not, like discussed in the other censorship thread.

(Note that I'm playing advocate of the devil here btw, I agree that these productions suck and I have doubts about their scene relevance, but the issue of censorship is definately worth discussing :-)

And btw, most people didn't seem to have a problem with it, I only see a small minority who is offended (and most amusing of all like usually is the case with people who are easily offended: In their quest to censor things they draw more attention to it while nobody would have noticed if they just let it be :-)

Meuh Keops, I fully support your way, as some so called sceners already did "demos" with child porn (as seen on PC) or rassistic contents, so drawing a line between scene/non-scene doesn´t work out anymore. I have to say it would be better to do at least some bits of self-censorship here before some frontiers will be broken that will damage the image of the whole demoscene at all... we should try to remember that demo making is doing "digital art" and i hardly doubt that slideshows with bestiality, s/m, rassistic contents and so on can be called -art- at all... think about it!

Most of your comments on pouet seem to be provocations. I mostly cannot find any sense in all your comments.

Is it cool to thumb something down just because everybody else is thumbing it up and it ranks #1 on the pouet top 10? Is it some new finnish "art"-project to just find good prods shit and the worst shit (e.g. fake/porn/wild/whatever IMHO NON-DEMOSCENE prods even if they are done by so called sceners) gets a thumb up?

Oh come on, note that a lot of this offensive stuff (the porn demos, but I'm also thinking about the slideshow with all the death people which was added to pouet not long ago) is very old and dates back to the late 80's/early 90's, and it never hurted the scene before.



I totaly agree with you, but it's not up to you or me to decide what's art or not, that should anyone make out for himself.

I think it's always the critics - in this case, us - who decide what's art or not. And not always the creators. So go on and judge :)
