magic: it's virtually impossible to get a working amiga ppc compo machine. the only ppc entries we ever had on breakpoint were mawi demos, and those were shown on pegasos machines the last two years, because they didn't work on the compo ppc amiga anyway. most of our visitors think pegasos demos don't belong in the amiga compo. a slight majority thinks ppc demos don't, either. several people who, unlike you, actually RELEASE amiga demos on breakpoint have already said that they agree with the changed rules.

Oh,. question to organizers or anyone who knows: I see you have to be present at the party and most probably I won't be. I want to submit an entry:

1) Will you accept it if I give it to someone else who visits the party to submit it?
2) If the above doesn't work, is it valid if someone else who has also done additional work for my entry (code, gfx, music, design, text, etc.) visits the party and submits the entry?

1) Not really ok. Though it does happen sometimes.
2) Yes, that is absolutely, unconditionally ok.

Erm. I got made aware in this thread that magic was discussing the Breakpoint Amiga PPC rule change while he is not an active Amiga PPC sceners. That he's discussing Breakpoint rules while he's not even visiting the party however is... silly indeed ;)

No, after contemplating a bit I got the idea that he has never been on any BP at all! His last party must have been somewhen in 1993 or maybe in '94 or '95. Maybe Somewhere In Holland 2? Or a Mekka'Symp in the mid 90s? Something like that... ;-)
