imo, if a girl can't appreciate your demoscene hobby, dump her. you'll be much happier. hell, most girls i've dated were probably *more* attracted to me for doing something unique and creative rather than just playing video games.

good question.. trixter has been laying low the past week, i'll see if he's doing okay. he mentioned being offline for a little while to resolve some (personal) problems. but it may just be a dns issue.

I sat my GF down and we watched a good chunk of the old school side of Mind Candy, me explaining all the while about realtime, 4 channel, samples, LPT DAC do-it-yourself kits, etc... she was REALLY into it.

Not so much the actual content, but the concepts behind the demos and hearing about the limited hardware, tricks, tweeks, etc...

She's an Engineer though, so maybe that helped :D

I bought it last week for EUR 360,- including shipping. If you think it's gay then show us your sofa mate. The coloured sofakissens we bought last saturday at IKEA. The table is from Möbel Höffner as well as the sisal carpet. Two weeks ago there was my workdesk, two PC's and a couple of geek stuff. My girl friend said that we needed a couch and other stuff. So I started to sell everything I once owned.
