Yeah, I hope Nintendo does something against that Kiddo-Image, too. There's nothing bad with releasing Games which appeal to Children or younger ppl, but also release some bloody/gory Mature titles, too! >:)

elend, I'm not picking on you, just reiterating a position that has been held far better and in a more complete manner elsewhere, but I find very ironic that "bloody/gory/sexy" means mature nowadays. It rather seems like a teenager/post-teenager vs all public type of games rather than a question of maturity. (I know, that's not the maturity they are talking about when using the adjective ;)
Nevertheless, even if I never owned a nintendo console, they do focus on the essentials of games which is the gameplay. The type of thing that doesn't age when compared to the more mtv-like games :P

psonice: That would be cool. In my opinion the "exclusive for N64" and "you have to buy our 18.000 $ dev unit to be able to develop for the N64" where some killers against the machine. I don't know how it was with the GC, but let's hope for indy developers. :)

When I saw the new video and saw a 3D-Mario again, ... 3 million castles aren't everything.

Those Vids are propably pre-rendered. As if Sony said "well, the Hardware isn't ready yet, but have a look at this cool Video. The ingame graphics of the PS3 will look exactly like that!"

Elend: considering what Sony did 6 years ago with all the disinformation to kill Sega's Dreamcast before their PS2 got released, it would not be surprising at all anyway.
After having watched them carefully, I guess some (how many?) of those videos are very unlikely to be realtime PS3 footages indeed. We'll know how much we've been fooled in around 8 months :)
