i fucking loved llamatron and rotmc! llamatron managed to get a few thousand shareware registrations back in its day. tempest2k is one of the best games i ever played.

sticking to the subject at hand: this new vlm doesn't look that special. http://www.rabidhamster.org/R4/main.php is a probably better alternative. the screenshots look good.

I agree with Truck.

although demos and VLM stuff have similarities, i think most VLM stuff should use bright colours. this is because the VLM's are often used in concerts and clubs and used in the same way as the lighting. i just think xbox360 VLM has worse colours due to blending incompatible palettes, and that the R4 one does it in a better way.

it's true that 'modern' demoscene effects have been used at concerts, but so far only know of ambient acts doing this.
