The difference with Shockwave, however, is that he already knew of the existance of the object (i.e. wheel) and even knew its name. I didn't.

Stuff like this can be learnt from your issue of the Hugi magazine.
it'll be the next question to get to the demoscene-section?
Haha - Adok made a pretty lame type!

bah.. that one does not make any sense.

Try this one:
1,1,3,9,13,65,71,497,505,4545,4555,50105

How about this one?

232, 343, 604, 954

adok: there's no numerical solution to that - also you already fucked up the order. it was released as 604, 954, 232, 343.

these numbers must contain some satanic worshipping or something similar.. ;))

Gargaj: Why do releases have to be sorted chronologically? Pouet also displays them sorted in alphanumerical order by default. And your answer shows that you've understood it, which was all I was asking for.

Another one, which is perhaps even easier:

1, 2, 3, -1, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, 10, 12, 9, -2, 13, ...

Which one was next? (Hint: In my list, the minus ones are always after the plus ones and the plus ones are always in ascending order if ...)
added on the 2005-05-02 16:13:37 by Adok Adok
supposed to be 01, 02, 03, ... actually.
also they're far from being in ascending order.
and also this is exactly why you're supposed to be chronological instead of alphanumerically sorted.
and also, stop trying to be a smartass.

adok: my mum sais its answer b) int main(){int i;for(i=0;i<4;i++)printf("%i,",(i*(i*(i*(-61)+633)+94)+1392)/6);return 0;}

1, 3, 5, 9, 12, 21, ...

hm?

think non-standard... and no, it's not because of ..., it's because...!

next time i'll post any random number generator output sequence here and ask to think non-standard.

no, seriously, there is some kind of similarity and logic. lets see whjo discovers it first.

then probably next two are '28 (challenge)' and '32 (Challenge, use 28)' according to Homework Assignments for Math 331 Section 3
