The demise of Grapevine/Ellesdee - THE FACTS!

Contrary to what D-Man has been flamebaiting around the forums - I'd like to take a moment to put a few people straight on the closure of the Grapevine revival and the ESD main site.

The closure of Grapevine.NET/Ellesdee the FACTS

1. The ESD site was closed by the admin (Zildjian) without any warning to the other members and he still isn't contactable. He obviously has his reasons but whatever the reason, it is NOT due to the fact that Pazza has shamed us into it! We don't give a shit what Pazza says anymore - or any ex LSD member for that matter.
Originally, most ex-LSD members either weren't bothered about us attempting a revival or were not contactable, then just as we were about to fold the entire project, Pazza - Maxi etc. come out of hiding and start talking about this name stealing crap. TOO LITTLE TOO LATE BOYS - NO ONE GIVES A SHIT ABOUT YOU OR YOUR VIEWS!
2. Trying to run a web based revival mag was beginning to become a chore and we were no longer willing to produce a mag which gained very little reward. This was the main reason for it's impending closure and nothing else.
3. The Ellesdee guys want rid of the Grapevine and Ellesdee name and we are starting a whole NEW venture. The whole revival was meant as a tribute NOT a blatent name steal, yet ex-LSDers and some sceners just cannot seem grasp this. Or is this just a lame attempt at trying to grab some limelight? I know which one I'd choose.
4. The accusation of me stealing the nick Dazza because it sounds like Pazza is also a complete load of horseshit! I was using the name DaZZaBoY before the original Grapevine/LSD was even a friggin' foetus!
5. Whatever your view on the revival thing, no one particularly cares anymore. We've moved on and we hope the ex LSDers can understand this and go back to whatever graveyard they came from!
6. Grapevine was and always will be something special, no-one can ever take that away from you. Why do you need to go over the same old tired rants. Get a grip and move on!
Finally, I'd like to thank everyone who was behind us at Grapevine.NET and supported our efforts and understood what we were about. I know we tread on a few toes and had a few arguments but it was all in good jest and I hope we provided some entertainment along the way.
To all those who knocked us and tried to destroy what little glimmers of positive vibe we had - FUCK YOU, we hope you enjoy your empty life of continued ranting and non-production!

I wonder what they call the group Ellesdee and not LSD as they used on the amiga. Maybe the name LSD attracts many suspicious people to their site?

From the start on they should have done something without using the name and fame of somebody else. This caused quite a lot confusion, tribute or not. You can call it LSD, elle_ss_dee, elesdyy or however, the core remains the same.
In my humble opinion it's never too late for any of those people who originally have done Grapevine not to allow you to continue under the same name as their mag was called!
And next time more scene related articles please or don't ashame us for totally ignoring you boys! (like everybody's already doing in case of Scene Rep)

ellessdee just recruited ep and they're gonna make the bestest demo ever since the invention of sliced bread and the death of future crew! they're gonna present it at sundown2005, just to show all the uk sceners that they're crew really kick some ass. and it's not gonna feature any black backgrounds whatsoever. it will be an all pure and fresh oldskool flavored hymn to the friendship and love caring empowering character of the scene, a simple fucktro to all other active sceners out there who think clueless pseudo-oldskool revival faggot newbs should have learned how to toetrigger a shotgun before ever discovering the internet.
but that would require them _ACTUALLY MAKING A DEMO AND/OR ATTENDING A DEMOPARTY_ for the first time in years, so it's highly unlikely. but lets wait and see shall we? im sure they're about to dazzle us with their fine quality productions any day now. why, they're prolly working on some _OFFPARTY_ releases, since they love and cherish the careless friendship and giving spirit of our demoscene so much, they must surely be polishing off the looks on some cubes as we speak. they just never quite manage to take some time from their busy schedules to attend a single party out of the 8729732 that take place all the time just a cheap flight away.
but they don't even need to attend a party to prove us all jealous wankers that ellesdee+ep are for real the saviours of the scene. they'll just release an intro, sometime within this lifetime. too bad that would actually require some FUNCTIONAL BRAINMATTER in their empty skulls.
