ok so ehh holland has an all platform demoparty! it's called demozone 2005 and you should all attend! july 23rd - 26th (that's saturday till tuesday, though the programme ends monday night already)

basically demozone will be a nice fluffy open air event with nice compos, a chillout atmosphere, a huge theme park around the corner, a huge campsite, and, well, a new Dutch party after all!

as we're part of campzone, a big open air lan event, there'll be lots of gamers around. demozone has a separated party hall and lots of cozy demoscene features, however, so if you want to see no gamers, you won't. (or, not a lot, at least)

location is next to "walibi world" (earlier "six flags holland"), near Biddinghuizen, rather easily accessible by car. if the need arises, we may arrange bus shuttles to a nearby train station.

ok so! all attend! (for the french: no weed is sold at the partyplace, but you're totally allowed to buy lots on the way there and smoke it inside)

With a bit of luck, a RBBS delegation will be there (pending that I hate camping ;-) )

you could actually just crash inside the partyhalltent if you prefer, just like on other demoparties. (no cheapo hotels nearby, sadly)

in case a dedicated busshuttle does not materialize for some reason, there's a busshuttle from the railwaystation in harderwijk to walibiworld (click the link for a timetable)

for a return on 1 day, 5.30, buy the ticket from the driver

if you stay longer, get a "15 strippenkaart" from the railwaykiosk for 6.50, this'll take you both ways

freeze, there'll be plenty gamers, but they'll all be sitting in their own little camping tents, dragging their network uplinks *into* those tents and gaming all night long (apparently that's how they like it, but it totally beats me). the demozone partyhall is a much bigger tent which is basically much like any demoparty hall (more like a concert tent than a camping tent). conclusion: we have the facilities of a 2000 people event and the demoscene atmosphere of a proper (small) demoparty.

of course everybody is allowed inside the demozone area, but there's simply no reason to go all gaming about at the demozone area if the better place to do so is right um die ecke.
