Searching for zTracker users
category: general [glöplog]
Are there any remaining users of zTracker, the MIDI-only Impulse Tracker clone for Windows, here on Pouet? I never publicized it much but I've been using and maintaining a fork of that software for more than 20 years. I have recently found out about some more people using it so I decided that I should update the GitHub repo a bit more frequently.
There's an updated release of my zTracker fork here: https://github.com/m6502/ztrackerprime
Feel free to contact me with any issues you may find.
A small disclaimer: After so many years I can't assure this release works exactly as the original. There are likely some small changes here and there and you may like them or not.
I'm starting work on porting the program to macOS and Linux, and 2025 is going to bring some more surprises.

I remember I used it shortly like 20 years ago but I think I prefered MIDI tracker more. It's cool you got back to this one, though:]
It's a MIDI-only tracker :-)
Tried a bunch of MiDI only Software in the past bit missed your fork. Will try it definitively. Can it do advanced stuff like NRPN or Sysex?
Also your Github page needs screenshots =)

I'm planing on improving support for hardware synthesizers because I now have a bunch of them and there's no other way I'm going to use them to compose music, so I'll have to think about a way for proper usage of things like the vendor-specific control changes and SysEx.
I added one screenshot now :-) Thanks for the suggestion.
