No wonder why there's the word 'fake' in this guy's alias

for zalza, joss, dualtrax and all the others who got their music stolen. This is the distributor in question that you need to contact. and yes, the name is both ironic and confusing:
https://copyrightcontrol.nl/

but according to the solidfake music on youtube, they are the digital distributor.

so.. what should i do about this "Ike A" artist who has at least ripped off my track "Bothersome" for his "Bothersome News" track (5th track on "Epidemic" album released in 2020. Routenote have thus far not replied with anything. I'm about to re-post this on CDBaby and might want to know how to proceed so i don't get my CDBaby account deleted due to them thinking i've ripped off "Ike A" when it's the other way around?

Ok, so it seems like the tune has been removed from YouTube, Spotify (and probably other streaming services)

This was pretty curious case (a cassette filled with stolen scene music became a cult item among dragon synth enthusiasts)

Someone had the guts to steal from Space Debris >:-(

I wonder what else this guy stole back in the days.

Oddly found that this random video with +1.7M views in their intro repurposes by stitching a few sections together a bit over 20 seconds of "Forward" by Northbound, in the scene better known as soundtrack to Fairlight's Track One.

Now, the EP the song originates from is available both on Bandcamp (for purchase, all rights reserved) and on archive.org with a more permissive CC license, but only for non-commercial use (the video is certainly monetized and also has a sponsor) and requiring attribution (nothing of such sort given in the video or its description).

Could be of course that a separate license was acquired from the artist themselves, but I wouldn't bet on that; rather seems like they use all sorts of "library music" from various places and none of it seems to be credited, so it seems unrealistic to assume they'd contact relevant rightsholders for a dozen pieces of music for each video.

Or perhaps the beginning of the song is a loop. Some commented three years ago that the Fairlight-video was flagged by Twitch

No, it's self recorded as per the archive.org description. The sound is such that I definitely wouldn't be surprised that it'd land some sort of a false positive from guesstimating copyright detection systems though. Even so I don't understand how that'd be relevant, and it's certainly not true so let's not even start an argument there.

The loop-thing is relevant if it’s from a library. I had the same effect with a tune that included a relative long sample from a library. Someone else used the same sample in a tune and my tune got a strike from YouTube.

Yeah but it's not, and regardless the intro is clearly constructed by sampling the original track as a whole, so we can just drop your hypothetical. It's irrelevant.

I just explained my point. Of course it's irrelevant for THIS case.
