I've been checking the venue website for informations on how-to-get-there/closer-international-airport without luck so I tried to figure them out by myself.
It turns out I should fly to Frankfurt (from IT) and from there take a 4.30h train transfer to the place. This sums to 9h train for a two days trip, quite undoable.
Is it so? It this the only option?

Had a quick look at the train rides, and they're in the 2h to 3h region from Frankfurt airport to Saarbrücken. So should definitely not be 4:30h.
Koney, there are bus trips from/to Frankfurt Airport organised by Revision Team - watch the space for announcement.
Alternatively - grab a rental at the Airport and drive 1h30 to party place. Other airports near by are: Hahn (Frankfurt), Strasbourg or Luxembourg - depending on your preferred destination.
Should you like to drive for 4h, you can land in Charleroi or Paris and take a quick ride from there - Saarbruecken is very conveniently located, check rome2rio.com for any given options between home and E-werk :)

Koney, as Azzaro is saying - there will be news soon on the shuttle services, you will be able to enter your flight numbers and arrival/departure time, and be all-set straight from the airport.
Alternatively, there is also a small airport in Saarbrücken. With a bit of luck, you might find a direct flight there and then take a cab. :)
