After two years o' nearrr silence, it be time to announce the return o' the physical Nordlicht Demoparty! An' since it be our 10-yearrr anniversary, we be addin' an extra day o' party mayhem, makin' this here a very special four day, pirate themed, event, aye!
Expect all the jolly stuff a shabby gentleman o' fortune will enjoy, that be fierce compos, blastin' music acts, a sizzlin' bar-be-queue an' a well equipped barr! Our maritime weather along the Weser river and stormy breezes ain't fer the faint-hearted, but rest assured there'll be plenty o' sunshine as well an' a large outdoor area for you to take a deep relaxin' breath between all the party madness. Ye may bring a tent as well if ye wish, yarrr!

Where are your Covid19-rules? Maybe I am just too dumb to find them...
Hello Sir, it's good that you ask! They have not been added to the website yet but will be shortly. For reference, here's a summary:
- At the point in time of this writing, Bremen does not have any hard restrictions on anyone who is fully boostered, meaning (at least) 3 vaccinations, which will be a requirement for visitors to enter Nordlicht Demoparty this year.
- With the exception for public transport (or a visit at the local hairdresser' etc.), there is no need to wear a face mask indoors or outdoors, but of course you can always do so if you wish.
- proof of vaccination status and a negative rapid test prior to entering Nordlicht will be required.
- FFP2 face masks and antigen rapid tests will be available free at the infodesk throughout the party, so you can test yourself once every day.
Depending on how things will develop in the upcoming months, the above rules may be amended accordingly. Anyone feeling sick (e.g. showing symptoms) or who's been tested positive less than a month before the party will be kindly asked to stay home for the safety of everyone.

you might wanna calculate 9,50 euros for the negative rapid test, as from today on you gotta pay this price at 'official' testing sites.

as they are practically the same function-wise, a self test at the door upon your arrival together with your covid app's vaccination QR certificate will be sufficient.

I see it like Slator. I am not interested in an event where you have to prove your health and vaccination status to the organizers, or otherwise you are not allowed to participate.

Yazoo: that is fine. But we will do whatever is necessary to meet local covid legal requirements for hosting a public cultural event. And if the gov decides that we must follow certain rules, then we'll have to do that.

I had understood that you wanted to enforce the rules via the house rules. The official rules for this kind of thing are not that hard at the moment.

Had the impression that Nordlicht, too, would go over and above official restrictions for some kind of personal mission or other... but then i read on. Might not have to rethink my plans! =)

Hi Sunspire, are you going to you accept remote entries (for some compos at least)?
With the exception of the GRAVEDIGGER and FUN competitions, Nordlicht has always accepted remote entries and will continue to do so up until a week before the party. The submission email address will be announced at a later time.

The ticket sale has started! \o/ Go grab yours while they're hot!
Up until 10th August you can save €10 off the regular ticket price tag. We also offer a downsized Saturday Ticket for those who cannot book the days off work for the extended 4-day duration of the party (since Thursday is no public holiday in Germany). These are valid from Saturday 12pm until the end of the party and include the Saturday compo schedule and BBQ session. We do however strongly recommend that you attend all 4 days of the party, for the ultimate Nordlicht experience!
All tickets are print@home, provided by deinetickets.de, no envelopes will be mailed.
The following 1st place compo winners of the NOTLICHT 2019 online stream event will each receive ONE free Nordlicht 2022 ticket upon request. That's one free ticket per winning entry (and not for each individual group member). Congratulations!

Besides tickets, the first few offers for DJ sets and a seminar have flown in, and we're preparing a special surprise event but it's all too early to spill the beans just yet. Gotta be patient on this one!

We've sold about a dozen tickets to demosceners and people who did not specify any nick / scene handle during their purchase. Rest assured that if you're one of these people and received a ticket in your email inbox, all is fine. We just cannot assign your ticket to a name on the Nordlicht registration page = we have no idea who you might be.
