Hello!
i'm T.M.D (Known as gammed on some places), a tracker musician, games, and retro pc enjoyer
I Discover the demoscene on a day and i liked, so looking for demo stuff i encounter pouet
And i decided to create a account here
Also i'm a musician (using protracker and openmpt) so i think later i can contribute with music for some demos (or even joying a demo group)
I Hope i encounter some cool guys here

Uhm, that said - since we have dedicated corners for newcomers at Parties. And constantly whine about a lack of new people:
How about at least an officially pinned "introduce yourself" thread?

There's no thread. He got dropped off at MS by his dad. Where yoda(?) kinda picked him up at the entrance. And we made space for him at our table. Cause he was like, 13?

+1 on thinking pouet and/or the demoscene in general could use a better introduce yourself and get mentoring spot to get newcomers more up to date with the culture and where to look. "just come to a demoparty" used to be the default answer but it has a lot of drawbacks (pandemic, location, age, no ability/willingness to travel of different sorts) that warrants imho a better landing cushion. the textbook i wrote is an ok starting point but it's far from enough imho. the mentoring discord some folks had last year was a good idea but seems completely innactive.
13 and on pouet? he's so screwed.
I now realized I've never made an introduction post myself. Oh well :D
