RIP Karoshier / Da Capo
category: general [glöplog]
Earlier today Karoshier of Da Capo passed away (https://www.pouet.net/groups.php?which=11284)
While not the most active C64 scener out there he is mostly remembered for his Burnin' Pen 64 release which won a Meteoriks award back in 2014 and attended multiple Evoke, Revision, Buenzli and UnTum parties in Germany.
Karoshier was mostly known as a hardware hacker and I have worked together with him on many arcade projects next to demoscene stuff.
Any messages to family can be sent to me. I can pass them on to this wife Sampaguita who has released a few C64 graphics herself.

condolences to his family and friends. :(
Absolute tragedy, he was genuinely a lovely person :(
Rest in peace!
Like many of you, I've met Karoshier at various TUM and Evoke parties (and possibly Revision, too), where he's always been a super friendly and calm person to talk to.
He will be missed! :(
He will be missed! :(
Sad to hear.
Is he next victim of the death-shot? This is not so weird, so many people dying last months, when the death-shots are widely promoted and given.

I never talked much to him, but he was always having the heart at the right place. Sad, sad news...

Oh no /o\ We shared several hotel breakfasts during UNC times and I remember him and Sampaguita as a very friendly, talkative and attentive couple.
RIP Karoshier, you'll keep walking the party halls among us in our minds.
