Demosplash 2020 Online Edition - November 20-21 2020
category: parties [glöplog]
The 10th annual Demosplash will be held on November 20-21 of this year. As has happened with so many demoparties and other things this year, we're having to run Demosplash as an online-only event due to COVID-19 restrictions on travel and use of our usual venue. That being said, you can still expect to see the usual compos, interesting talks, and demos running on as much original hardware as we can bring together.
No registration is required this year, and we'll be streaming live with the help of our good friends at SceneSat. See http://www.demosplash.org for more deails.

it remains to wait for the submit system to open
Yeah Demosplash! \o/ Looking forward to the show!
As usual, the submission system will open a few weeks before the compo submission deadline. One point of information for this year: If you are planning to submit a retro or wild demo that you want us to try to run on hardware, please let us know at least a week before the submission deadline. COVID-19 has made it difficult for us to get into our storage facilities and we need the extra time to get hardware out and test it.
respect to demosplash for always digging out the real hardware to play the entries :)
do wish you would pre-record some things this year for smoother viewing experience though.

Speaking from personal experience, I'm going to agree wholeheartedly with psenough.
any idea yet what compos there will be this year?
It'll be the usual list other than that we're combining the freestyle graphics and freestyle video compos this year, and the live shader compo may be run as a separate event since trying to do live shaders over remote streaming could be a mess.
if you need any help with the networked live shader compos stuff give me a ping on discord, hosted and/or did commentary on quite a few this year.
please renew schedule at website
The schedule is up. We still need to fill in talk titles but the schedule of screenings and when compos are is up.
