Inércia will return in 2020, will happen from 2nd to 5th October 2020, for the 12th time!

All details will be announced at http://inercia.pt sometime soon, expect the usual:
* space for up to 30 visitors
* high quality bigscreen and sound-system
* kids corner with board games and retro computers
* seminars and workshops (TBA)

Does this refer to pitch or length of the sample? I'm confused :)

pitch. drone music is typically focused on bass sounds, not always, a whistle or somesuch can often fit well, but most drone music that abuses high frequencies ends up being coined some other genre. i'm sure a more expert drone zealot will eventually correct me. my initial point was: compo is for drone kind of sounds, try not to push it into other genres that much :)

wikipedia article on drone doesn't mention pitch, just that it's a minimalistic cluster of sounds. so it can be high notes. just in my head they are usually more focused on the lower end of the spectrum. bottom line is that we'll accept anything borderline drone but try not to push it too much into what could be considered another genre.
