Strider / Fairlight
category: residue [glöplog]
groepaz has leading ... people are fast running out of "even" in here.
I'm sure as hell that in the span of 30 years there was a ton of events that formed Strider's current political stance, and I'm convinced that at its root there wasn't an edgy provocation in a male dominated youth subculture.
Which brings me directly to the debate about hierarchy. Uhm ... adolescent men gang up and challenge each other. Some with more charisma and/or other means and skills to "claim rank" push themselves to the top (look at them goooo).
Gee, never heard of that in any other situation where men congregate o_O

also as a grown up you might end up in jail if you show too much interest in the shenanigans of 14 year old boys
how do you always know that stuff
Where is this civilisation going if one can't make jokes involving motherfucking nazis anymore ? I ask you my good man.
well, you can do them. but they better be good, or you have to live with thumb downs.
Also if you're just waving swastika flags, without a point to make, you're not making a joke, but you're just trying to provoke. (at best)
In this case, you also need to live with the answer from those people you just provoked.
Feel free to release a demo full of motherfucking nazis and swastikas, I don't mind you releasing this shit. but you have to live with my thumb down and probably likewise provoking comment.

This isn't a wich hunt, come on, don't be a pussy.

There's a LGBT activist in Poland who notoriously wears tshirt of Joy Division band. Joy Division name comes from a block in german death camp where captive women were used as whores. Ha... ha...
bitch hunt, please!
can you make it a twitch hunt? im bored
Eat the Twitch
So this is the middle digital ages then. Phew. Wake me when the second world wide web war is over.
rutra80: Thank you for this totally unrelated piece of troll. Joy Division took it's name from a novel about nazi sexual slavery and the name is too vague to refer to any specific "block", it can really mean any such unit in any nation's army. Perhaps I should ask you the same question that one of your countrymen asked me?
It's your problem if can't see any connection between flaming a demo mocking nazis and not flaming puppy band of yours which playfully used nazi symbolism.
And read a book by Ian Curtis' wife to educate yourself.

yeah! i think it's about time rutra80 takes responsibility for all the things his countrymen have been saying.
rutra80: You did not flame any puppy band of mine, you used a shirt to somehow discredit a polish LGBT activist (although I can see several good reasons why s/he would want to wear a shirt about forced prositution) and I maintain that it is totally irrelevant to a discussion about demos with nazi symbolism.
skrebbel: I think it's best to send the insult back to the country of origin.

I still don't understand what his country has to do with any of this.
send it to the planet of origin
Humour, you should try it some time. LOL!
Being edgy teen and using controversial representation isn't really political. It's just lame and that's what most 14 year old kids are.
Now moving to the States and becoming a republican - that's much worse. And staying with the party in times like these is a much bigger sign of being a nazi than using some lame Hitler sprite when you're 14.

Brushing it away as "who care, focus on the now" is kinda lame because diving into the history of the scene and how things may or may not connect is fascinating.
Not to mention, "a woke witch hunt"? really? How is discussing the political landscape of the scene even remotely a "witch hunt"?
