Exklusive IBM PS/2 XGA1 or XGA2 Demos/Intros known?

category: general [glöplog]

Hi there, I am getting a PS/2 Model 56 with XGA2 graphics.
Is there a Demo/Intro that benefits from the XGA graphics?

Thx
Doc
I can't think of any.. XGA was pretty expensive when it came out, and mostly used by businesses. Hi-res/SuperVGA (640x480x256 and up) PC demos didn't really become a thing until the mid-90s when VESA extensions and UniVBE came out.

Is the "hardware-curser" usable as "hardware-sprite" ?
Just think about how awesome it would be to announce the effect: HARDWARE SPRITE. Ooh. 7800 phong polys is nothing!

It's a unique feature of xga, or am I wrong here?
Most of the 1990s SVGA cards had support for mouse cursor sprite (e.g. Cirrus Logic 54xx or whatever it was what I had in 1994).

I don't think one monochrome sprite is that impressive for demo use.
