Good morning everyone! The Revision 5k run starts in a little less than 1.5 hours and I hope to see you all there!

If you haven't done so already, you can still sign up here ! For your run to count you need to have gps enabled in Endomondo, and start your run after the start time given at the event (and before it ends). Also, do befriend the Revision Online account!

We are aware that some of you have restrictions for running and if you did your run early (or will do it late) let us know!

Remember to share videos and photos from you run using the #revision5krun hashtag at twitter, facebook or instagram!

Good Morning everyone,

the party is still ongoing, but iam already in PPD mood:
I didnt expect Revision online to be this awesome, i have demoparty spirit in my own house and cant wait for the morning coffe with my brothers dfox and dojoe.
Videochats are constantly running around the clock, chats on slack, discord and during the Twitch stream aswell...it feels weird, but it feels good.
I even drove to my office just to use Sofaworld
(how cool sofaworld ?! i hope it stays open longer!)

On one side i feel, that something very important is missing:
all of you. my friends, my companions, even those i dont know that much.

On the other side i feel, that something came back to me:
After almost 20 years of easterparties and 33 years of scene - the absence of this Easterparty gave back a spirit i was missing, but i didnt know it was.

and on another side, i learned how good it feels to do all this videoconferences.
I hope we keep them even after the crisis.

When this time has something good,
then that it reminds us that we are part of the best scene this planet has to offer.

I'm sharing this sentiment, docd.

It feels like an actual, proper Demoparty - just different. And I'm seriously impressed how well especially the liveshader coding worked. There's a lot going on in the background. Kudos to Alkama, cyraxx and Gargaj and whoever was involved.

<3 <3 <3 you Havoc & Diffty as well as evvvil, consamentale, wrigther and provod for turning my lack of visuals into something much more entertaining.

I'm concluding so far, most of the points on my Demoparty checklist have been crossed:

- worked longer on something than I expected
- got spontaneous mental support and input on the go
- last-minute help by lovely people to fix my incompetence
- made it "just in time" (contribution stress level 9000 deluxe)

- surprisingly good conversations with random people (on the voice Discord)
- watched some jawdropping shit already
- having stepped into this "time out of time"-desync
- feeling the love

And I notice, that my "perfect" Demoparty experience also needs:

- HUGS
- falling asleep to snoring with bass in the background
- MORE HUGS
- the typical party noise floor (anyone has a field recording of that?)
- waking up cold on a defleated air bed
- moments of absolute nihilism, walking around, not knowing what to do, then having a currywurst and beer
- a hangover
- watching people dance, who usually don't do that
- HUGS
- 5711 Kölsch
- being overwhelmed by a lack of privacy to the point of finally not giving a fuck anymore
- almost stepping on a sleeping person in a random place
- being sad about going back to "reality", having to work with non-committed people
- All of you.

On a personal note:
For over 15 years I have been selling T-shirts at Breakpoint/Revision. As you may know I am usually pretty broke anyway. The current crisis is really making things worse: I make about 80% of my yearly shirt sales at only three demoparties – none of which are likely to happen this year. I don’t like to beg, but things are really tough due to the crisis. I was already forced to borrow money from other demosceners to be able to pay things like car insurance amd medical copay, and with no income at all on the horizon I am not sure when I can repay them. All this to say: Any help is greatly appreciated.

I hope to see you all very soon, and I miss you all very much!
