SHADER SHOWDOWN - CALL FOR COMPETITORS
We're looking for participants for the Revision Online Shader Showdown! The competition will be organised like the Shader Showdowns at Revision for the last 6 years so there will be 8 competitor spots in the tournament. Experience level is not the most important factor to be selected for participation, anyone who would like to try their hand at live shader coding is welcome to sign up. Due to the limited timeframe until the party we will make sure to respond to applications within 48 hours so you'll have at least some time to prepare for the tournament if you're selected.
A new version of Bonzomatic (by Gargaj, improved for online usage by NuSan & Alkama) will be used for this tournament. The tool that you should download, install and use during the compo can be found here: https://github.com/TheNuSan/Bonzomatic/releases. We will use Alkama's server for this tournament, you will receive an invitation with all necessary information to connect days before the event. The new version of Bonzomatic works exactly the same as the old one by Gargaj but it streams the code of your shader via a server so that your shader can be rendered in perfect sync with the audio stream on a pc with a good GPU that is connected to the Revision Online video network. For communication during the tournament we'll use Discord.
The first round of the tournament takes place on Friday evening starting at 10PM, the semi finals and finals will take place on Saturday afternoon. If that fits your schedule and you're interested to take part in this tournament please respond to this message or contact havoc on IRC (#revision), via email (havoc@outlinedemoparty.nl), or other social media where you can find him.
Thanks for your attention and looking forward your applications!

Will it be possible to download and run the demos during the compos?
