Perhaps it's because the effort needed to make a human look good instead of just clumsy and badly modelled is high, and even more so if it's animated. Besides, I usually like abstract stuff better than something that tries to emulate reality..

well, there are quite a few demos out there with humans in them.

on the c64 i released "autumn clouds" in october which contains a human.

there are demos with ladies dancing and pretty faces all over. pictures of facial expressions are not far between, check cycle from booze.

still, i don't say there is not room for more. incorporate it with style though! :-)
