Revision 2019 - April 19th to 22nd
category: parties [glöplog]
Gee guys, it feels like almost a year since the last one ...
@baordog: there are not really bus schedules (in advance). once our site is up you can register with your flight details and we take care of organizing the fitting shuttle transfer.
My biggest wish is to have good weather, to make barbecue-nights possible.
Lounge Access for Frequent Sceners?
easter is late this year, so chances for good weather are maybe a tad higher this time :)
I guess I'm old enough to try booking a room to sleep this time...
To the orgas: Happy to wait until the website is online, but there is one thing we should know now: Will there be special rates for Hotels this year again? If yes, is there also a certain contingent reserved for those rates?
I want to make sure that I get a room in a Hotel close by (Crystal in my case), but also don't want to book a room now and then realize that I could have gotten the same room for less money and including a breakfast.
Thanks!

You can pre-book Crystal without having to pay yet... then you can wait to see the Revision hotel deals, and cancel your own booking with Crystal if it works out cheaper to take a Revision package :)
The tourism office of Saarbrücken will provide discounts for a list of hotels again. But we can’t guarantee you, that it will include all room options (the Crystal hotel e.g. as various options). So it could be better to book a refundable room now and see if we’ll provide a better deal :)
booked hotel
I got the best rate here, in the last few years this has still been cheaper than the discounted Revision-rates: http://www.saarbruecken.de/en/tourism/accommodations/package_offers/weekend_special_3_for_2
Will the official site be up soon?
"it will be when it's ready"
"when it´s done"!
I heard
somewhere, so maybe imma get my ass over there to check it out...sounds kinda familiar somehow, tho! ;)
^As an organizer of the first Revision ever i´d like to suggest the Official Theme this year:
"Small but Effective!"
As we shifted towards the small prods over the past 15 years completely (even the good old C=64-Scene is having their 4K-Competitions regularly by now!) i think this is a nice Theme to have!
Also the size of the scene itself shrunk over the years, but we are still releasing about the same amount of prods each year, so... ;)
"Ey, programmier ma ´nen geilen Effekt!" - Solid/Bonzai Bros 1992

Hardy, aber Du weißt ja: "Wer lang hat, lässt lang hängen."
Surprisingly, it usually is way cheaper to book a hotel directly through Booking.com than even with using discount option. The reasons behind it are unknown :)
Quick question to the orgas - photo compo. Can we have a clear rules stating that this is a single frame shot out of the camera OR full house photo stitch/manipulation putting most modern graphics entries to shame (as it was with recent years winners without pointing the finger - you know who you are :)

do you mean we should add a hint in the rules that entries from both categories are posible in this compo, or that we should erase the possibility for in-between entries that are modified just a bit altogether?

non-refundable? no breakfast included?
a slightly worse deal is better than no room :D
I'm here again with a bug report for the website...
Turns out https://revision-party.net/ has the same problem as the meteoriks website: cert only valid for www.revision-party.net.
I hope I'm not starting to become annoying :P

@mouldyCat: A simple solution - either one shot (even processed with LR/PS/COne
or
full house image manipulation/stich/processing/draw over, which falls into modern graphics category. It's quite unclear right now, hence the idea of clarification.
