I have updated a bunch of MS-DOS ports
category: general [glöplog]
A couple years ago I decided to cleanup our web-page and do a bunch of final versions for our prods.
I also wanted to clean-up the MS-DOS ports I had done, but that took a bit more time (around 2/3 months), and when I was done, I contacted the original authors for approval, but never released them :(
So here they are, the following have been updated:
As I found out some ports where not as accurate as they could, I went and double checked every single one of them against the MS-DOS version, fixing a bunch of timing/port bugs. This took an embarrassing amount of time, because I had to see each of them hundreds of times.
In the process, I also added menus to select resolution, so you can now execute them on whatever resolution you desire. Some will just upscale, but some others will render natively at higher resolutions, which means that, for example, you can see The Fulcrum / Matrix beautifully rendered at 1080p :O
Also while working on this, I uploaded new screenshots for all the prods, in higher resolution and quality, and capture everything at 1080p 60fps and uploaded it to youtube. Also all releases are in scene.org, so no chance of them disappearing again :)
I know I could have worked on new productions instead of this, but I love this prods, and I think they deserved this. Hopefully someone else will enjoy this too :)

I had to patch a few things (because of buffer size limits) to make it run, but it can. Probably 4k too, but don't have such a monitor :/
Everyone might know this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uAJ-S0wK1wE

If you can't display 4k directly, maybe you could add a downsampling postfilter and get free anti-aliasing as a bonus :)

If the source is available you could do it yourself ;)
