A month and a bit to go so I thought - it's time for a thread.

9th Riverwash*, the biggest Polish multiplatform demoparty is going to happen during the first week of September, same place as last year ("Bez sceny" Theatre, Katowice, Poland). Our party theme this year is Western so fish out your cowboy hats and revolvers!

*) or as our Hungarian friends put it: "the northern Function"

What are we preparing for our fellow demosceners?

Gigs:
- Dane/Booze Design with his Manifesto 2 performance, the highest quality of SID music you can expect!
- Xtrium/LNX with handheld tracker set
- Leśnik/Altair's sound attack

Seminars:
- Kbi/Elude is going to talk about Vulcan coding
- KK/DMA will show his 8-bit programming skills (and share some of them with you)

Other events:
- Aceman's surprise music contest
- KK's demoscene quiz part 2 (part 1 last year was a blast!)
- screening of "Art of Breaking Ground" documentary about Amiga demoscene in Poland and AMA session with the author
- theme-oriented compos

Riverwash is a pure demoscene event: no commerce, no games, no live stream. Full media coverage (compos, concerts and more) will be available later online.

Results and releases will be available soon. We need to move some wagons. Meanwhile, you can have a peek what was happening this weekend at Riverwash.

First time at Riverwash and I have to say that it was a fantastic experience. Lots of great releases, lots of new friends and a perfect atmosphere to talk to a lot of people which whom I wanted to talk for many years but never really had a chance.

Also, thanks to some starting motivation and help from citrus I finally tackled the task to code a demo on my own. Wasn't really any good but I'm glad I did it and I hope I can follow up with some better stuff in the future :) Be afraid!

Verdict: More people from abroad should experience this party. I'll definitely try to be back next year!

Listening to "OPL303" by Malfunction / Altair from Riverwash 2017. The song is very cool. But the author mistyped "2015" instead of "2017" in the DIZ-file. Let him know someone :)

Big thanks to D.Fox for last minute fixes he helped me with in the partymeister system (sorry gargaj, i don't know wuhu ;)). Been great to finally have some more time to talk to you after the competitions came to be!

D.Fox, it was lovely to meet you and even talk for a minute! I hope to see you next year, bring friends -- maybe in addition to all the fun at the party we'll sneak out to the museum of computing nearby? :)
