/thread, indeed
@leGend, you can always push the fabfilter pro-L one decibel higher! or 10! ;)
jco: already have a better one, DMG Limitless :D can push even more, and use multiband+swell distortion on clipping -> more squareish.
Does it go up to 11?
150euros for that!
noooo..
noooo..
It goes up to so much limiting that I was afraid I could make full squarewave and it still sounded quite fine. Its "expensive" sure.

Some things go beyond this. For example, Rob Hubbard's SID tunes and Outrun soundtrack are "scene music", because sceners have adopted them as part of their common heritage.
Scene music is whatever sceners identify as their community's music. We are sceners, scene music is our music.
Some discussion on Nectarine. Also, truck told me on IRC that the SceneSat launch show has some discussion and the famous Max Hall sample :) .
First of all: I guess I've been sort of banned (could not log in anymore when pouet switched to the new scene ID account system a while ago) so I am probably not actually here.
But I miss you all! The demo scene is something you can never really get out of, I guess.
exactly what yzi said.
here's a demo/video game music playlist I recently created on a very sunny sunday afternoon in a very nostalgic mood. It's incomplete so please chime in:

(spaceballs were annoyed by the page loading time but that's not really my fault)
here's a track I made today:

..released in a non-scene context but a 100% demo scene in spirit, in my honest opinion.
