Preacher BTW, could you please fix "I am" to work on newer systems and support all resolutions?
No. The source code is unfortunately lost.

HI I THINK WIFI CAUSES CANCER AND I'M HERE TO TELL YOU SOME HARD FACTS ABOUT TELECOMMUNICATIONS
Where's my tinfoil hat?!
So back to topic then. There was that time at MS.... 97 I think where I had some good old healthy heterosexual vanilla intercourse in the party hall right under our table (it was at the edge of the hall where the tables formed an U so there was a lot of space). Which by itself isn't that novel, interesting or rare (<brag>) but next day a groupmate of mine suddenly went onto a heated tirade about "Last night I tried to concentrate on some coding here and suddenly people were like FUCKING directly under the table. Those bastards." and I was just like "oh, yeah, that sounds horrible!" and did my best to smile innocently and sloooowly back away before I couldn't hold the laugh in anymore :)
I went to a party once and drank a beer!
Might even have been two, can't really remember..
I was once the last guy left awake at the Revision bonfire. Or Breakpoint. I honestly can't remember, but I distinctly remember being outside alone, having outlasted even the other Finns. It was quiet. I still had half a bottle of whiskey that I gave to the first guy I saw at the party hall. I even managed to get back to the hotel somehow.
I went to a party once and was sober for the whole weekend. Twice, actually.
Hey, I know plenty of people who probably think that's the wildest thing you can do!

i received a blowjob at a demoparty too, and can testify that it was healthy! sadly i cannot deny nor confirm that it was gay for the simple reason that balls didn't touch :(
there's two genders, mine and the rest
i blame limp ninja demos for all this gay stuff
:D

I usually don't drink a lot of alcohol at Revision. I may, collectively, have an entire bottle of beer's worth by the end of the party but at least one year I think I managed not to have any at all. I've also been promised craploads of beer before for something I made fora group, but thankfully it never materialized. I'd never get through it! However I don't think it's particularly wild to not drink at a demoparty.I went to a party once and was sober for the whole weekend. Twice, actually.

Being that all I go to is Revision, I don't have a huge cache of wild stories, but I do know that you probably don't want to fall asleep drunk (or pass out) during the main party hours... your tablemates will pose you or with you for photos that may appear on Slengpung. Passed by that one year and went "Hmm, definitely going to be on Slengpung." and iirc it did show up there later.

Believe it or not...
...i had NO ALCOHOL at Revision 2016!
While everyone knows me as one of the most drunk people on any Demoparty... i can tell you this was really wild!
Revision was very different for me every single year...first i organized, then i just drank, then i partycoded all the time while boozing, next i partycoded all the time while completely sober...this year i wont even bring a computer as my stuff is done already...and i´ll be completely sober once again...so it´ll be different once again! I´m really looking forward to have some nice conversations this time when i don´t have to organize or code and won´t be drunk! :)

there was a hungarian amiga scener dude (name unknown) who had a nice habit of getting drunk and just kicking toilet bowls apart. be it a bar, a house party or a demoparty, he kinda wanted to destroy all toilet bowls. i think one of the instances was a post-2000 FLaG party but i may be mistaken.
at some other instance a stinkbomb was thrown into the gamer room by a demoscener. boy that was a hoot. 1999 or so.
i heard arcane pooped in the middle for the gathering party hall and then took the plane to breakpoint.
I have fond memories of the Easter chocolates thing at Revision 2010. <3
First ever Revision, first ever time outside the UK for a demoparty. On the Sunday I went a little turbo on the drinking, trying to keep alive the party feeling on the last day. RC55 and Stavs grabbed my room key and left me at it. I remember falling asleep under my desk (bad idea!). When I woke up, my glasses were broken and I had bruises all up my back.. literally no idea what happened to this day.
On Assembly '94, the toilet bowls and sinks were demolished after 1 or 2 hours the party started. Water everywhere in the toilets.
Next day someone poured something that looked like diarrhea all over the sinks and pisoars (what the hell are those in english anyway, a long steel rail where you piss :D) ... didnt really want to use the toilets at all.

Ok this wasn't at a demoparty but at a sizeable event in Paris organized by students, and it didn't happen to me, but if you allow me a slight off topic, the story is worth the penny. I wasn't even there when it happened; I had the story the next day directly from the people who had to sacrifice their body to the cause.
It was raining that time, and one night the rain apparently didn't go down the drain so well. Water started to accumulate in the evacuation system, located in the basement parking which also happened to be used for the event. There are a number of toilets in that area, that all converge to a central evacuation node: a big plastic tank in an equally big concrete hole, hidden behind a typical maintenance door with a lock on it. That hole is one place where water accumulated, unnoticed, and at some point, the tank started to float and lift up. Due to all the PVC pipes connected to it, it couldn't move too much, which it wasn't supposed to anyway.
At some point though, the water level got high enough for the tank to be pushed up beyond the resistance of the structure. Everything broke and the tank which, should I remind, was on the receiving end of all the toilets there, just popped up in air, with the graphic result you can imagine. In the middle of the night. In the middle of an event with thousands of visitors expected to arrive the next morning.
Needless to say, due to the emergency of the situation, the door was dealt with promptly with an ax. Some hero organizer went down the hole to fix the mess and used the pump someone happened to have, while others took a car in the middle of the night and drove 100km off to their parents to get another pump. They got back in time to replace the first pump that had died, and somehow managed to get the situation under control in the few hours before the day started.

Erratum: it might have been a sledge hammer and not an ax. Anyway, not the most subtle tool around.
No harsh or wild stories this time, just tripping down on memory lane. sorry about that.
mekka2k2. us few hungarian sceners waiting for the compo to start in the main hall. there were some polish dudes right one row in front of us being irritatingly cheerful. all the yells and commotion irritated us to some point we felt old suddenly. after some time they stumbled away from the seats in a flock, leaving a few bottles of beers behind. being hungarians (and young & moderately poor) we grabbed a few of their unopened cans of beers and started drinking it. "they don't need much more anyway" so we've thought. few minutes later, they came back. the first guy steps in, looks at the vast space of the missing beers. then they look at us, grabbing onto the beer cans with a "errm... what?" look on our face. looks at floor... looks at us.... gears are working... quickly he turns around, yells "nymczwiajczielokurwasprajaegaeognsngsa!!!!!!!!" to his posse. ok, this is it, we thought. this is how it ends, we're gonna get killed. we see the other guys roll in with a cart full of beers, immediately slamming like a 6pack to our lap. close of a call, they were awesome. they grew even awesomer when turns out most of them were Potion (remember, Planet Potion was shown at that party)
Similar story was about 2 guys from Eger (smaller hungarian town) at FLaG, dressed in white shirt, bring drunk WAAAAAY out of control. they were friendly but appeared very loud and obnoxious. turns out they were the Aenima guys, making top notch 3d wild demos. they blew our mind, so all was forgiven and we drank together.
The same party I was co-organizing. Tomcat was throwing a fit of the music compo starting in about 10 minutes. Then me and my friend Császár deemed it a good idea to go out for a few bottles of wine - about 25 minutes walk there and 25 minutes back.
