How do you guys motivate yourself to work for a scene production?

I smoke a cigarette drink a beer, and whistle a melody in the shower.
Works every time :P
Works every time :P
It's all quite simple..
Use drugs, use alot of them. However dont code while being drunk/stoned, altho it does work its a waste of drugs. However, use enough bad shit to feel bad the day after.
Wake up, puke, grab a laptop, do some coding. When you think you have an image onscreen wich looks like you feel then just release it, after that has been done have a nice day reading stupid morons comments about it here on pouet!

have sex with many beautiful women
The Hasselhofian Recursion
i usually get an idea or ten and then bug a musician for a tune. When i get the tune, i start doing effects and photoshopping... Weeks or months later the final product appears and it usually is nothing even remotely related to the original idea. (ref. "a deepness in the sky", which was supposed to be mfx's first ever ambient demo)
Thinking about the comfortable amount of euros i already earned by selling my routines to ********* motivates me to code even more.
Endlessly loop the first two minutes of "magic window" (boards of canada) while photoshopping in the nude.
I just go to sleep and i say to myself dream your next demo...i get a lot of ideas ..i write them down...and then it ends up that all these ideas goes to garbage and we create something else...not even close to what i dreamt about...!!!!
being bored and having nothing else to do is a good motivation.
hm, i'm basically always motivated to do a demo. the correct question would be "what stops you from making demos all the time"... well, friends, university, work ;)
think about all the fame, money and sexual attractiveness you will gain by making a #1 demo.
If you're doing demos for fun, there's no need for motivation. If you're not motivated enought don't do demos.
Inspiration is another thing.

PEOPLE WITH POINTY STICKS MAKE ME CODE DEMOS. I JUST CAN'T GET RID OF THEM, SOMETIMES IT MAKES ME VERY SAD AND HELPLESS! CAN YOU HELP ME?
I can't find the word "motivation" in my dictionary, mostly because I don't feel like opening it up.
Regular demo team meetings with an agenda. We try to have them monthly and have had excellent results.
some clues :
-going to parties
-meet some freinds
-see other demos
-making a nice mesh
-going to thge cinema and think "wow this could be done in 64 k"

If I recall correctly, Farbrausch has a private, undisclosed island retreat that they meet at once per year to discuss and crank out demos while be fanned by palm branches and fed grapes by beautiful, young paramours. :-)
Hehe, montly meetings with excellent results equals to hangover from hell
I say a prayer to God to kill my family if I fail to finish my production.
The fear of losing loved ones always keeps me motivated.
