no it's a pretty quiet town really, but we had a few incidents over the years and I just wanted to give a shout out that people should - naturally - take care of their prized possessions. Wouldn't want that Vectrex being stolen, would we? (although it would probably be tossed in the nearest ditch when thieves found out what a truly obsolete piece of hardware THAT is) ;P

Got my entries ready. Made an acid track this year but after listening to last years entries they seem to mostly be a different style to what I did. Mine is more hard techno style, it has a squelchy filtered 303 but I dunno if that is enough to qualify as acid. I'll send it in but I won't be offended if you don't want to use it if it doesn't mix with any other tracks.

I made some grave planning mistakes and won't be able to make it to TRSAC this year. I realise that the pepperschnapps gods won't be pleased and that I will probably not make it into the afterlife. :(

Acid Compo tips..
1. If it's quiet, run it through a basic limiter, if you can't do that, ask lug00ber to do it for you ;)
2. TAG YOUR MP3's! Artist and Track title

More acid compo tips:
1. if a track is quiet, but otherwise sounds great, most if not all DJ mixers are equipped with gain knobs
2. TAG YOUR MP3s! Remember that in addition to the artist and title fields, you can write insults to the DJ in the album field. He'll most likely read them!
Also, you can manually enter a value in the BPM field, and there aren't any technical constraints at all that hinders you from entering a value that does not correspond with the actual BPM of your track

I can't go either. :( I'm really sad, this would have been my first TRSAC. General real life shittiness (mainly escalating in the past two weeks, this is the reason for the last minute cancel) prevented me from going. I'll try again next year!
