Nah, good old sdf sphere tracing, with some some sleight of hand in lighting to approximate something that an area light might produce, just a single pass (plus of course the depth of field and tonemapping etc.).
I decided to release the previews of the wolfenstein/RPG engine I was working last years on CPC 64k/128k and GX4000.

Lot's of bugs, ugly colors, glitches and problems to fix. I might release progress videos or blogposts when I start working with it again, but I thought it would be ok to release some stuff in case I forget this project.

hellmood, can you make it a little more bright? otherwise looks cool. does it animate?
It flickers a little, but in general, no animation :/ also, color choices are VERY limited, "a little brighter" looks like this.
