norovirus is a bitch and it's easy to get as it's contagious as hell... breakpoint2010 also had quite an outbreak of it and i spent two days going every 20 minutes to the blaue scheissewagen. properly washing your hands, no bottle swapping and avoiding door handles usually does the trick to avoid it though :D

You forgot the incubation time, which means that the first person could have caught the virus well before the party, not have felt anything about it and then got sick at the party, speaking it to others.
For the nerdy hypochonder: Deadline 2017 will be in a cleanroom.
As CEO,of a nursery home in real life I should run a business of selling desinfection soap at parties.
Going back to discussing the demoparty itself, not the demoparty virus, I now have Dynablast melody playing in my head sometimes :D

yes, but... during the incubation time, in majority of the viruses, patient is not contagious.
I dropped by for few hours only + didn't eat anything, so not infected.
About the party: I think every year entries are getting better and better. If this trend will continue, it's gonna be really prime competiton next year! I'm also glad 4k was not in a combined compo anymore :D Overall, great show guys (who released stuff)! And of course thx to organizers for making it all possible.

The effed-up voting results are unfortunate, but the looked a bit suspicious to me anyway, so maybe it's good you found out at all ;)
FTR, I had various food at the party place and outside of it, and had no issues. Can't remember having been diagnosed with Noro so far (probably would remember), so likely not immune. Washing hands probably helped.
The (supposed) delayed infection was actually in line with lots of other delays during the party. Wasn't in a rush (myself) and had overslept on Sunday anyway so didn't miss the prizegiving, but felt a bit sorry for Remute as he had to wait quite a while until he could start, and the audience had thinned out by then.
Verdict: totally beerable.
