It's one thing to have fun at the party place and feel relatively safe between fellow sceners and totally other spreading this crap around. Now every single scum around the world can access the movie and hypothetically create a lot of trouble to the poor guy. It's just not fair, so whoever uploaded it please take it down asap. Having fun at the parties is one thing but we have life (yes, we do) outside of this shithole named demoscene. What happened at the party stays at the party - at least that's how it works around Polish sceners.
Next time this could be you.
T&Cs: If Fei has nothing against it - keep it, however there should be some kind of scene bro-code regarding that kind of things. Up for discussion and consideration.

I guess, overall, it was quite a good start :) There wasn't a lot praise I got for my tune (I guess partially) because ambient/liquid - the style that my song has - as Brian Evo said, "can be actively listened with attention or as easily ignored".
Sadly, I haven't seen the livestream of the compo - and I can't find a playback of it :( - so I'd like to ask: how did the audience react?
Also, what would 139 points be on a scale of 10 in that compo? 7/10? 3/10?

And a little something to add. The whole CNS 64k was done top secret. Noone knew about the thing, even some of the orgas. Pasy told us [visitors] there's a remote foreign 64k coming, which crashed, and they are delaying the compo because the "authors are fixing it right now". So after all the 4ks and demos they played the two remaining entries, Universal Sequence being the last thing to see on the bigscreen in the compo night.
It was fucking mindblowing. At this point I don't care about bullshitting the crowd, pushing the demo compo to the back of the line, fooling everyone with the "hiding-the-authors" trick. I just don't. All I know is, things like THIS are the reason I go to a demoparty. Looking at the past 9 years, this cheap trick was hands down my best prod experience at a demoscene event. Keep it up everyone who was involved, thanks for a life-lasting moment!
Also thanks to everyone who voted for me in compos :) You rule!

But when you make such compo with me I will be truly happy so I insist make it next time for me instead of being an "devil's advocate" (or rather a babysitter).

the votes are from no vote to 5 and final result depends on people votes amount / rating.
Its not counted like x/10.
You still have the chance for stream from music compo to be on YT

We organizers did not distributed the pictures. The pictures distributed by the person who made them. Who is an adult and lives in EU and (should) aware of the copyright/privacy law.

@azzaro: thanks for the concern but I have no problem with pictures of me being asleep. after all, we all do it, like, every day?
as for the stream, it always is a problem and that's why I don't like streams (from the organizer's point of view more than being on it). also Function has a disclaimer on that exact issue at their site so I may say I'd been warned.

Lav ya Fei! It's more than important you guys come every year to the Southern Riverwash, as we go to the Northern Function. And yes we'll try to bring enough entries+alcohol to Poland as well ;-)

Thanks to all the organizers and people I talked to for making this one hell of a party. A shame all doors had to be closed during the compo night (fuckings to neighbors), which made me leave the party hall at some point (special fuckings to the person, who
darted to release an atomic gyros-booze-fart during the demo compo).
I also found it quite unusual, that apart from the organizers, there seem to be almost no local sceners during day time (people told me about this beforehand, but I couldn't believe it).
We had plenty of time to stray through Budapest, had "some" beers and found quite some good spots to eat. The weather was superb (around 34°C). Budapest is an awesome city and I was sad I already had to leave on Sunday.

Next up: digging trough a pile of photos.

The one time that I visited function we also toured budapest quite a lot, not only before or after the party but also inbetween. And the tour wasn't limited to local sceners, i remember having rrrola, decipher, kb and iq alongside as well. It was quite the experience. I'm just sad that every year since then I've had the one or another thing that comes up, preventing me to visit the party, but i'm considering it every year. I keep my hopes up.

Im Absolutely amazed by the quality of the entries in the demo compo.
nytrik: not just the demo compo(s), graphics compo was nutso too.
I said demo compo because usually there is a quality gap between the first (two) and the rest. That 's clearly not the case here
Thanks everyone for the great party. Should I ever release anything I would definitely consider Function as the first place to do it.
