Solskogen 2016 - 15th to 17th July - Flateby, Norway
category: parties [glöplog]
First of all, thank you very much for an awesome party - again! The orgas really knows how to throw'em :)
Secondly, it has come to my attention that the track I submitted in the oldskool music compo was actually used in a production earlier. I was not at all aware of this, and I can only apologize to the compocrew for this glitch! I hope you know that this was not intentionally done on my side. I will obviously send the prize for first place to the second place winner.
Cheers!

Yeah, stream was awesome, smooth + hq throughout (other than the 50/60 hz switches). Best party I 'visited' remotely so far :D
All the stream videos are now online on YouTube. This is exactly the stream, frame by frame, but being re-uploaded from the archive-quality recording Nageru does while streaming, and of course cut up in more reasonable chunks. (That, and lug00ber remastered the audio for the live shader compos.) Enjoy :-)

I didnt get an opportunity to thank everyone who voted for my tune in the oldschool music compo. I was surprised and glad that people liked it after all the work I put into it. Thanks to Ola for making a great sound experience inside the hall.
Thanks to the organizers for hosting the norwegian demoparty of the year once again. I enjoyed the basketball competition, and someone messed up the chess-party on saturday, also nice meeting up with the old familiar faces, and last but not least watching the compos on the big screen.

@rudi: It was Truck that made the first losing move (O-O-O) of the game you played in, so blame him. :-) The second blunder was from a trio that included Frequent; I can't recall who the other two were. There was a third one, too, but at that point, it was beyond lost. Duckers made the final move and resigned on behalf of the world, which I think was the right decision at the time. =)
We only really intended to do one game, but given that the first one ended in checkmate after eight moves, it was best to make a reset—it looked like people had fun with the concept, so it will definitely happen again next year. :-)
You can find the two games (who made which move has been lost, though) at https://www.lichess.org/Sa3JD2h3 and https://www.lichess.org/7KW4aR5N.

It was fun. If Truck knows how to play O-O-O, he probably know all the other plain chess-moves as well. I dont know if he did not see the pawn-attacking-officer-thing. He should have Bb4 or something like this. Thats the first rule: get all the officers safe or attack if one seens any advantages.
this is how I take pictures now.
Will try to sort out single ones from all the manic pushing the button series filling up my memory and send to Slengpung. yuuuuuup!

@sohx1: Did you have any problems with the 50/60 Hz switches apart from that there were pauses (without audio) while we were switching? If so, I'd love to hear about them; in particular, what player you used.

Somehow forgot to comment here: really enjoyed my first Norwegian Demoparty/my first Solskogen. Awesome weather, friendly and welcoming sceners, good talks, nice compos and superb weather. Did some swimming in the lake, destroyed one of my legs in the Darklite camper, looped Eternal Dream of Beauty 'til everyone left the Darklite camper, ahh, good times. Definitely will attend again. Thanks to all the organizers and visitors for making this a party to remember.
Special thanks to lug00bärchen for giving us shelter on Sunday. <3
