On the last night, I had two hapkar portions, a LOT of alcohol (thank you Grazey and Kraken rum!) and quite a lot of the hot food that was served up very late on. No issues with any of these.

Apart from the usual 'dead inside ' feeling for the following morning.

Back home now. It's been a pretty hard day (I was very tired, hangover and had to cope with malfunctioning train, heat and then with the kids shouting on the plane the WHOLE TIME). But it was definitely worth to have a day like that after awesome party.

Apologies to anyone annoyed with my melodica antics. Thanks to everyone who enjoyed my music entry (which I'm kinda happy with) and the timelapse movie.

On a side note - extending the voting deadline (or at least warning people that it's actually gonna end in 10 minutes) would've helped me and a good few people who had the same problem. I'm not that worried about inconsistency in the .nfo files handling (some files were not read or displayed) because in general it _WAS_ a great party and fair play to orgas for pulling it off with such a small crew!

Thank you for organising it, for being such a lovely bunch of geeks and most importantly for not acting like an elite and making lamers like me feel welcome!

re food: I had food from Hapkar twice (on both occasions a frikandel and a hamburger; the second time they seemed to be served in a rush though). I had some small poisoning symptoms throughout the whole party and today, but I'm blaming those 4 crates of Grolsh I've purchased.

re weather: fog and rain after getting off the plane will make my PPD even worse!

Super relaxed party, will visit again! Some checklist stuff below.

Weather: superb.

Food: I did have the hapkar and late night snacks (and a very sensible stomach) but no poisoning symptoms for me either. All the booze and stuff does weaken the immune-system and it wouldnt have been the first time I'm sick after a demoparty - but putting it on the food is probably not correct. Having that said 8/10 euros per day might be a bit on the expensive side, maybe Im just bringing more stuff myself next time around.

Organizing: Seems to have been a little more chaotic this year but I totally dont mind. I think time at demoparties is passing way too fast as it is, so some delays and improptu workarounds dont annoy me at all. I hope the team also had a great time.

FPV drone: super awesome thing and as much as I regret not trying it myself I heard there are some recordings. So I hope to see the footage at some point, maybe even as a wild release or part of a party-report.

Nerf-Guns: Well, while I think they are a lot of fun I know others feel threatened with them around. Im a super-peaceful guy and despise real weapons and violence of all sorts, but them I consider just toys. While I had the idea to bring nerf-guns to a party before (we have a lot of them at the office), I never did because I was not sure how the general acceptance is and was (positively) surprised to see them there. Maybe I was just lucky enough to never get a "real hit" with a nerf-dart, but Ive been shot at every distance at every bodypart and so far never got hurt. Sure people shouldnt aim directly for the face but as these things are inaccurate as hell it can never be ruled out completely . On this note: sorry again to Topy for hitting his eye (which was completely non intentional), but even that unlucky hit didnt do anything but a few minutes of ouch, at least thats what ive been observing (and experienced myself a couple of times).
So how is your general opinion on the nerf topic? Even if only 10% of the visitors are uncomfortable with them around it would be enough for me to keep them away.

I didn't have any food poisening symptoms at all. Only shitty thing that happened was that I totally lost my voice saturday morning, and it's still not fully back. Too much shouting at Bubble Bobble and the Flipper I guess, which was btw so so so awesome that somebody brought. It would be really cool if the arcades are back next year for sure!

The nerfguns were fine, aslong as people didn't annoy anyone with them. I wasn't annoyed, so everything was fine for me :P

So now that I've had a good night's sleep and my mind feels less fragile I'd like to firstly excuse my profanity (or small temper tantrum if you will). But, last time, multiple people runs and/or violently ill is something worth mentioning. I had a whole romantic and cozy Sunday planned and my fragile mind plus a fiancee writhing in pain sent me to a place it's so easy for me to go: anger.

I also retract my intention not to lend my turntables again, of course, if still wanted, they'll be available next year as well.

I stand by the criticism I had, repeat once more that the party overall was enormously fun for us and look forward to the next one. That'll be the end of this for me :-)

In regards to food, I liked the stamppot(even though its more of a winter dish I think) and midnight snacks, but was disappointed(albeit not poisoned) by the chinese and hapkar stuff. However I'm up to improving that situation next year, the kitchen at the place looked quite capable.

I know there is not much one can do about it but the fact that there was no loud music allowed after midnight(or 1am on the last day) kinda sucked because I feel like due to the weather it would've been so handy to move most of the schedule to the night times, i.e. dojos "offical" DJ performance + live coding.

On the nerfgun topic I'm with SnC:


To you gabba fanatics, I'm cool with you bouncing your music all day long, but next time please don't just come and take over the party tent(where we setup our system, projector and power) right after we started playing our music by just overpowering it. Evilbots vice president(me) was mildly disturbed by that.

I think I was around when that happened. No one seriously tried to take over, but the joke got out of hand. Sorry about that. We had to quit our shenanigans shortly after anyway.

Well be taking on Excess again like we did in 2002 and 2014, at least that's a real challenge, writing an entire demo instead of pea cocking with a few values you tweaked yet can't mathematically justify.

That was another wonderful Outline party; the atmosphere was once again really good and I'm pleased to hear that there'll be another in 2017 at the same location.

Personally, I found the food to be awesome and didn't have any issues with suspected food poisoning and the like which had been reported earlier by Superplek and other sceners. I was sorry to hear that Dwarf and others had problems - hope you all get better soon, but I don't think there was anything wrong with any of the food from the suppers (the chinese, the stamppot or the hapkar).

I was particularly pleased with the location for parking this year. While it was a slightly longer walk compared to the field next door that we used last year, I actually preferred parking on the hardstanding that formed part of the farmer's maize tip. Hopefully we can use that area again if it is clear by the time next year's party starts.

The weather was lovely and warm and this, even in itself, makes for a classic Outline party. Although the number of releases were small there was a lot of high quality there, which can make up for the relatively low numbers.

Looking forward to Outline 2017 already :)
