Nordlicht 2016 (1st - 3rd of July)

Hello my dear friends of northern demoscene culture!
You may have expected this to happen but now it is official:
Nordlicht 2016 is happening in the very first days of sunny July in Bremen/Germany.
As usual we will have various old- and newschool competitions and are of course accepting remote entries if you cant make it in person.
Little details such as ticketsales, timetable and the required amount of bbq meat are still in the works, but feel free to put your handle where our mouth is.

oh noes, bcos it would hard to make something after final exams :)
Sadly missing this 2nd time in a row - Hurricane-music-festival in my hometown 2015 where I have been going since 1997 took precedence, summer holiday already booked this year before Nordlicht-date was finalized. First-world-problems, surely :) Maybe/hopefully 2017 will work out.
tokra: Hurricane is from 24th - 26th June, Nordlicht 1st - 3rd July! ... just make it a long weekend and you'll be good to go! ;)

This year's music event slots are filling up quickly, in fact we only got ONE left! If you are a DJ or musician and would like to perform at Nordlicht 2016, please let us know at the speed of lightning!!
Likewise, we are looking for people who would like to do seminars in the main hall, or other similar scene related activities that make the crowd go wild.
In the next weeks, the organizing team will gather to get things rolling .. and you'll be in for a treat as we plot the full party schedule and stuff! :)

Last year's Nordlicht has been my very first "smaller" party, and I loved it! Too bad this year it collides with an already booked vacation. :( Will try to be back next year...

Remote entries can now be submitted to compos[AT]demoparty[DOT]info before 26th of June.
The event schedule has been updated once more and now features performers from Germany, Finland, Denmark and Belgium!! And there is still more to come, stay tuned while we carefully balance out the final schedule.
Last but not least, The Early-Squirrel ticket is still available until the end of this week.

You might think so at first but no, "man" in this case is correct as it functions as a name, e.g. the name of the character in the game, and two chatacters are named here, e.g "character A and character B", not a group like in the case of the "Cosmic Women" (which are actually Choco Confectioneries - Cosmic Confects but that would've been too long for the picture!)
The great thing about organizing Nordlicht in the same location as last year is, that we are fully aware of what to expect and therefore are able to make some valuable improvements. We have decided to hire a company which will install a two meter high construction fence around the grassy outdoor party area, very much like the one you have seen at Revision. This way, the event is secluded from the busy main road and your tents are more protected! Sounds good? We think so!
In other words: To get in you´ll have to take part in the first and mandatory fun compo: climb over the fence!

No, you have to be there BEFORE the fence is installed. And you CAN NOT leave before it's gone on sunday.
I will be in Bremen at 7:30. And am gonna come to party place. If party place will be locked I will go outside on the city! Any suggestions for entertainment at such early times?
