My daughter had a wonderful time too. I think she's definitely hooked to demoscene now.

She certainly grew since we last saw her! :D
(Btw do you have a fixed link maybe?)

I loved it. Was a bit sad, that the result screen only had the first 7 places instead the first 10 like last year. Now I need to get better than before :)
Oh, I have to thank everybody for not sleeping on that lovely inflatable sofa in toilet tunnel! When I found it free on saturday morning I thought "jackpot". When it was free sunday morning I assumed it's a miracle. My tired body loved it. Please keep it free next year so I can use it again! :D

Holy shit. What an awesome party once again!

thanks to the organizers for giving me a mainstage slot, and for the *awesome* birthday greeting. Getting a "happy birthday" from evilbot was incredible... It was very special, and I'll never forget <3

thanks for all the presents <3 I haven't felt this spoiled on my birthday in years (:

thanks to everyone who voted for Equineox, I really didn't expect to win anything with that. Just a shame that I wasn't there to pick up my prize the one time I've won something at Revision (: Guess I'll have to try even harder next time!

In general, thank all of you for making this one of the best revision parties ever, and the best birthday I've had in years, and for making me feel comfortable when I was so nervous before going due to some changes in life. Y'all amazing <3 and come to Outline! <3

THANKS FOR HOT SHOWERS!

Five years of revision and the party is really close to perfection now. The only thing that I disliked where the bottlenecks at certain times if it came to going shitting on the male toilet.

well, I am... flattered? Is that the right word?
The one where you politely back away? :)

https://files.scene.org/browse/parties/2016/revision16/ now with actual files for the music compos.

On that note, Bitch, your track is fucking killer.

Question: How are the entries ordered in the compos? Is there also some random element in it?

It would be nice if this would become more transparent.
added on the 2016-03-30 16:34:02 by JTZ JTZ
The order of entries gets decided by the respective compo orga(s).

And as such may depend on subjective / objective quality, entertainment of the audience, building up a certain suspense or it may be completely random.
most orgas try to keep it interesting, i.e. avoiding similar stuff directly following each other, and show some progression (usually this means showing the better stuff last)
technical issues when running live from real hardware can also have an influence regarding the final order

That all is understandable and good.

But without any (communicated!) randomness (like carefully selecting the general order and then move a few entries back and forth by 1 or 2 spots), the voters may become a bit biased, especially towards the last entry. I noticed that with myself.

And with close results, eventually someone may accuse the organizers to influence the results.

If you place a good entry last, it'll get the added bonus of being a great finish.
If you place a bad entry last, it'll get an added handicap of being an anticlimax.

The last spot in a compo is always a special (and very coveted) position.

Id go so far to say the order of the entries in a compo influences the voting way more than any (lack of) attempt on anomyzing

I saw an ARD camera guy on Saturday or Sunday, was there something on TV I missed?

You can also win when being played first (see tracked music compo this year, and Evoke some years back when my track was played first).
Tracked music compo may be a bit different here. This one takes so long, I wonder if everybody voting listened to the end. :)

No it's not. Besides, streamed music is longer and the best tunes were played in the middle (and rightfully won / placed highly).
Music compos in general then. :)

Thanks to all the team in front and behind the R16 for the fantastic event!

It was nice to be helpful with pacification of yet another Polish trouble brewer out-from-nowhere :)

Things I like:
- usual

Things I didn't like:
- preselection in photo compo and its rules. just 13/31 entries made it to the bigscreen, yet we've seen a *beep* shot of joystick. was the quality of the other entries such bad? also - is it photo (clear) compo or photo-processing (very powerful definition, quite individually interpreted) as couple of entries should definitely be shifted to modern graphics. please clarify the rules.

- weather, but who am I to blame it living in *cough* Scotland. I've expected better :)

- flu/virus/whatever that crap was that took couple of us at least one day of the life.

- any chance to squeeze the shower container into the main hall next year?

Lost and found:

- If anoyne during cleaning the party place found a small plastic bag with 4 Sony NP-BX1 batteries pleaase either PM me or ejoy them happy. Market value ~45-50 GBP :)
