voxel ausgabe zu datenbank-daten?

Hi! I have had some thought on improving the world in (19) 80s style and that's the result.
Isn't that possible? For the fields medicine and science something like this would be very interesting. It really
is time to create ways for multi-dimensional data to be displayed.
I'm sure there is (/are) a hero (/heroes) with the abilities to implement this. The Data-Computation-Salesman
(Translation-note: A german job-education of the 80s/early 90s) could do database-access in assembler
back then so maybe it's possible in it (Translation-note: I don't care if it's not true, maybe people shouldn't
talk so much crap then. If the databes commands are pre-made it should be possible so ass is only use to
call/invoke those). Or does this exist yet?
I also think that a way of antialiasing with voxels should be possible, if I remember the old articles in the hugi
(www.higi.scene.org) that dealt with anti-aliasing. voxels look stupid like that.
Something like this also should be possible to run on the old ibm-crates, that have the old, dusty cobol-
programs running if you can access the graphics-mode directly.

Ich denke dass das möglich ist / I think that's possible. Zur Not: MySQL ist open-source also muss sich nur
eine Gruppe Helden finden lassen die Bock hat das zu machen und zu sowas in der Lage ist / If everything
fails: MySQL is open-source so there only must be a group of heroes found, who are interested in doing this
and who can do it.
Die Pixelglättungsalgorithmen aus Emulatoren wie Nesticle könnte sich auch jemand anschauen um alles noch
etwas runder zu machen / The Pixel-smoothing-algorithms from emulatores like nesticle also someone could
look into to make everything more smooth.
Schnell wäre das aber nicht / It would be anything but fast, though.
Naja, ich dachte mir schon dass das eine idee ist die mal wieder 20 Jahre zu früh kommt. / I was already
thinking this is one of the ideas which is 20 years too early so it's not a big deal.
[Note: I may mix up UK and US english since I have never learned the difference and I also am not the best
english speaker/writer especially if I don't take the time to make it right]
Ich denke aber nicht dass es darauf ankommt wie schnell man damit fertig ist / I don't think it's really important
how fast it is done. Wochen, Monate, Jahre oder Jahrzehnte, scheissegal. / Weeks, months ,years or decades,
it doesn't matter.

I still don't understand what you actually suggest.
SQL database store relational data.
Voxels are spatial volume elements.
Unless you heavily abuse SQL to store spatial data (why would you?) there's no point in this.
Do you actually have a concrete idea what kind of data you want to turn into voxels, that actually requires a database and not just a spatial grid?

better use graph databases anyway!
okkie: Üben, üben, üben. ;)
urs: I think he wants to do hqx on voxels that come from stuff in a db. Or something.

to the one who opened that thread: trolling or just stupid?
A bisserl was geht alleweil!
Fucking Spelunky. I am getting good at it. But eats my time and breaks my nerves. Gotta go back to code. Not voxels but quinine engine where I drink a lot of quinine.
Wrong thread, but it was germanized anyway.
Introduction
binvox is a straight-forward program that reads a 3D model file, rasterizes it into a binary 3D voxel grid, and writes the resulting voxel file.
