Ex-iLLOGiK -modlabel boss is looking for his iLLOGiK releases after they were deleted from scene.org upon his request.

Ok, this one is interesting. Does anyone have the original archive of iLLOGiK -modlabel releases? The boss of it is looking for them - after he got them deleted from scene.org "in a moment of insanity".
Anyone?
Anyone?
This is annoying.
This is the reason why during my tenure at scene.org I was always "de-publishing" works rather than outright deleting them. There was even a script to deal with that, which logged the reasons for doing so.

A label boss, however diigital the label, should have his 'masters' stored securely ... SMH
Plus I would argue that a net label boss or an artist should not have the right to rewrite history and post-facto delete what they have published to the community.
That's what happens when people just want to REMOVE THE FLIES :/
No-one really like the FLIES, can't argue with that. Although it'd probably be an ecological mistake to remove them all
Lol
So, based on what knos said, maybe the files really still are in scene.org's possession after all?
The X-FLIES are out there.
fail. let him suffer. stupid takedown requests like this demand to be punished.

I'm assuming it wasn't his own music...?

We generally don't remove files unless there's trouble looming above (legal or technical). Honestly I don't even remember it being asked to be deleted and my mail backlog doesn't show it either.
I found the emails, they were from the November of 2011.
Trust me when I say it certainly wasn't a MOMENT of insanity seeing that I found 12 (twelve), increasingly agitated emails about the whole thing, the last one being from Distance himself asking for the same thing.

in psychology that's called a folie à deux!

i guess if he had 12 messages to send, he probably then got on my case to demand that i move a lever or something imaginary that i'm supposed to do.
fun
there are a lot of prods missing from 1999 - 2000 period and certainly that is not a coincidence...
lol wrong thread, but fits here as well
